    Join the opening team at Moxy Hotel & Residence Inn Portland Thompson's Point, a brand-new dual-branded Marriott hotel bringing fresh energy, style, and hospitality to one of Portland's most exciting waterfront destinations, opening Summer 2026. As home to the first Moxy hotel in Northern New England, this is a chance to be part of something new from the very beginning - welcoming guests to a vibrant stay steps from Thompson's Point's concerts, events, dining, and culture.

    We're looking for motivated, friendly, and detail-driven Housekeepers to help bring a brand-new hotel experience to life. In this role, you won't just clean rooms-you'll create a welcoming, comfortable space that makes every guest feel at home.

    What You'll Do

    As a Housekeeper, you play a vital role in shaping each guest's experience. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness set the standard for the entire hotel.

    Your responsibilities will include:
    Preparing and prioritizing assigned rooms to meet daily goalsCleaning, stocking, and maintaining guest rooms to brand standardsCreating a fresh, inviting space by making beds, replenishing linens, and restocking amenitiesThoroughly cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and guest areasVacuuming, dusting, polishing, and ensuring every detail is just rightResponding promptly and courteously to guest and team requestsRespecting guest privacy and following proper room entry proceduresManaging your cleaning cart and supplies efficiently throughout your shiftReporting maintenance needs to keep rooms in top conditionCompleting a final inspection to ensure every room is guest-readyAssisting with laundry operations as neededHandling lost and found items with care and integrity
    What You Bring
    Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (hotel experience a plus)A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to high standardsThe ability to work efficiently without sacrificing qualityStrong time management and organizational skillsA respectful, discreet approach to guest privacyA positive attitude and friendly approach when interacting with guestsThe ability to work independently and stay motivatedFlexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays

In this position you will be responsible for guest registration, making reservations, and providing guests with information about the hotel and the local area.     General Responsibilities:
    Operate the front desk and assist guests with inquiries and other needs during pre-arrival, registration, stay, checkout, and post-departure.Provide exceptional guest service.Efficiently manage the operations of the front desk, ensure check in and check out is timely.Warmly and professionally welcome all guests.Process guest check-in: confirm reservations, assign guest rooms.Treat requests with professionalism, tact, and courteous manner; act with a sense of urgency.Ensure that all complaints regarding service and/or accommodations are investigated and resolved.Maintain knowledge of hotel policies including rates, discounts, special offers and community events.Maintain knowledge of upcoming events, local area and hotel offerings.Ensure prompt delivery of billing to guests.Process all payments types e.g. charges, cash, checks, debit or credit cards.Discreetly handle confidential guest information.Coordinate with Housekeeping Department to track room readiness and communicate guest requests and concerns.Ensure lobby and shared areas are neat and orderly.Adhere to all Colwen and brand standards.Maintain STRICT key controls.Perform other related duties as assigned, you may be required to perform a variety of different job duties and functions in various departments during the course of a shift.
    Requirements:
    One year of related experience, hotel preferredPrior Brand experience preferredBilingual - English/SpanishExcellent verbal and written communications skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailSuperior interpersonal and customer service sills, ability to deal with difficult guestsFamiliarity with local area, ability to provide directions and maps to local attractions and destinationsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and common computer software programsAbility to learn computer software programs and operate property management systemWillingness to work 7-day rotational work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
