General Summary of Position Plan, Supervise and direct the work and the work force in the Engineering unit, including maintenance of mechanical and HVAC infrastructure and equipment, plumbing, grounds, and facility finishes, and provision of client utility services in adherence with safety requirements/codes. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Direct the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical, plumbing, grounds, HVAC equipment and apparatus and facility finishes throughout the center Oversee operations of outside vendors/contractors performing work particular to the engineering department Make Engineering crew work assignments Schedule and supervise the work of the engineering crew in a manner that reflects the high quality of service intended for the Colorado Convention Center Plan and implement short- and long-term preventive and anticipated maintenance and repair programs Resolve normal and unexpected technical field problems Develop and implement most cost-effective means for operations of mechanical, HVAC and associated equipment Submit operation, Capital equipment and Capital improvement budgets Maintain budget tracking in compliance with operating goals Implement approved purchase requests Maintain accurate set of HVAC, mechanical and plumbing as-built drawings Provide training for new employees Maintain a safe working environment Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
