We are currently looking for experienced CDL Class A Drivers to fill our pavement preservation crews. Job Summary Transport paving materials from stock pile site to paver via live bottom truck with tri-drop axles Assist in loading/unloading of trucks by hooking up hoses and running pumps May operate a variety of equipment and vehicles May be occasionally called upon to perform general laborer duties associated with asphalt paving including mixing, spreading materials and cleaning roadway surfaces as needed May be required to safely maintain traffic control including flagging duties Keep equipment and tools in good working condition Work in a team oriented environment Perform other duties as assigned to assist the crew Must be able to travel 90% of time Must adhere to our safety practices and procedures at all times Skills and Qualifications Must have a valid Class A CDL Must have a good driving record Must be able to travel 75-90% of time Must adhere to all DOT and Strawser safety regulations Must be able to lift 60 pounds Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Culture at Strawser Collaborative, inclusive, and engaged team environment Seek to hire for culture add Work-life balance is supported Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.     Asphalt Roller Operator Mission Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Asphalt Roller Operator in Savannah, GA. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively run a roller for the compaction of asphalt and/or dirt and other materials for road and commercial construction. Asphalt Roller Operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must have a basic knowledge of the mechanics and hydraulics of the machine. Must have skills to conduct an inspection checklist on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water. Must keep equipment clean, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping. Must have an understanding of control levers for movement of machine. Must have a priority for safety and welfare of workers around the machine. Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company. Qualifications, Education, and Competencies: Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED (preferred), but not necessarily required. Minimum of 1-3 months of work-related experience and/or training. Must be able to work day or night shifts. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Provide own transportation to and from work. Driving License (preferred). Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.
