    Position summary:
    Provides administrative and operational support in a fast-paced office environment by managing communications, coordinating meetings, maintaining filing systems, and handling correspondence. Ensures efficient daily operations, supports senior staff, and manages multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, organization, and professionalism.
     
    Key Responsibilities: Answers phone calls concerning policy or procedure and directing them to appropriate staff, setting up and coordinating meetings for senior staff. Receive and process mail, fax documents and photocopying as needed. Maintain paper and electronic filing systems, prepares letters and closes incident and complaint reports. Daily office operational functions as needed by senior management, ad hoc assignments if priorities change, orient other support staff if needed. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and highly motivated individuals able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment. The successful candidate should be willing and able to multitask and move from assignment to assignment as deadlines and priorities change. Have knowledge of office administration and management; proper grammar, punctuation and spelling; business communications and ability to take notes is necessary. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working for the New York State Department of Health High school diploma (or equivalent). Two-year minimum experience working in a professional office setting. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Word, SharePoint and Excel). The ability to enter data into, and extract data from, electronic databases. The ability to work independently and on a team with different personalities. The ability to handle multiple, shifting priorities, good organizational skills, including an ability to organize information into reports.  
    Preferred Qualification: Bachelor’s degree Certification in Microsoft Office products Previous experience with the Statewide Financial System Familiarity and knowledge of the Health Commerce System (HCS) Experience with various DOH platform software Knowledge and experience with computer information systems and computer programming

    Position summary:
    The position also involves reviewing employee expense reports and credit card transactions for compliance with organizational policies, conducting data analysis, and assisting with process documentation and system transitions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments while supporting special projects and maintaining accurate financial records.
     
    Key Responsibilities: Assist with review of credit card charges and employee expense reports along with supporting documentation, review for appropriateness in line with university policies and procedures. Obtain vouchers from accounts payable inbox and review for appropriateness. Enter voucher into the University’s ERP system. Ensure vouchers have a successful three-way match to purchase order and end-user receipt. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience or willingness to learn advance excel functions such as pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.     Job Title: Dental Assistant

    Summary:

    The Client Service Specialist, Dental Assistant supports patient care services provided by the Dental Clinic. The CSS, Dental is responsible for performing clinical tasks in accordance with all Harris County Public Health (HCPH) and Dental Program protocols.


    Responsibilities:

    Performs all duties required as part of four handed chairside dental assisting; takes and records vital signs; takes prescribed dental radiographs and/or intraoral photographs; chart patient diagnoses in Dentrix electronic dental record as dictated by dentist -Performs operatory set-up for each dental patient including barrier placement on high touch areas; procedure set up including instrument and dental material selection according to planned procedure -

    Performs infection control and instrument sterilization according to dental policies and procedures;

    Performs weekly biologic monitoring for autoclaves; performs daily, weekly and monthly dental preventive maintenance; reports any equipment malfunction or repair needs to supervising dentist

    Performs in-operatory support for all dental staff during the dental visit as needed.

    Provides oral hygiene and post-operative instructions to patient under the guidance of the dentist;

    Participate in school based and community events to promote oral health

    Qualifications: All candidates must have a Texas Board Registration Must be a Bilingual English/Spanish required

    Position summary:
    Provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Deputy Superintendent by coordinating daily activities, managing schedules, communications, and records, and supporting examination and supervisory processes. Serves as a key liaison across business units, ensuring timely coordination, documentation, reporting, and use of supervisory systems while assisting with projects, staffing activities, and data-driven summaries.
     
    Key Responsibilities: Provides administrative support to the Deputy Superintendent; including coordinating day-to-day operations. Performs a variety of substantive professional, technical, and administrative duties under the supervision and guidance of professional staff. Maintains the Deputy Superintendent’s calendar, schedules meetings and conference calls, arrange travel and reservations, and prepares handouts, presentations and background materials. Assists in scheduling of covered entity examinations, ensuring proper coordination and documentation. Coordinate with business units on issuance of examination correspondence and procurement of examination reports to support ongoing examinations. Responds to incoming phone calls, emails and correspondence or refers to appropriate staff, gathers and provides any background information for inquiries, and brings critical issues to the attention of the Deputy Superintendent as necessary. Maintains mail logs, scans and distributes mail as requested by staff. Track supervisory memoranda and reports and maintains logs of examination reports and findings. Utilizes the use of the Supervisory systems including but not limited to, Examination & Assessment System, and Linx databases; Microsoft Excel; Word, and the business unit (Cybersecurity) portal. Maintains records of files to be archived or needed for archival retrieval. Assists the Deputy Superintendent with ad hoc projects creating summary documents and data utilizing desktop automation such as excel and PowerPoint. Coordinates tracking business unit staffing priorities and vacancy postings and canvassing activities.

    Position summary:
    Provides support for emergency management operations by assisting with planning, coordination, research, and development of emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation procedures. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to support projects, maintain operational plans, facilitate meetings, and ensure timely completion of emergency management initiatives.

     
    Key Responsibilities: One year of experience in Emergency Management As an Emergency Management Administrative Specialist, you will support various unit projects through the development, maintenance, or revision of emergency management, hazard mitigation, emergency operations, and/or resiliency plans and operations. This is accomplished through coordination with internal and external partners, team leadership, project management, and organization skills. Prior emergency management experience not required but looking for someone who is interested in learning. Routine coordination, collaboration, and facilitation of planning processes and meetings from plan development through plan implementation.   Development of emergency management procedures, checklists, job aids, and operational plans for preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation activities of the Emergency Management program. Conduct research to prepare, develop, and maintain emergency management plans and procedures. Support day-to-day tasks, ensuring proper support and resources are provided to meet all deadlines. Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.  
    Preferred skills: Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively. Track, manage, and report on assigned projects without daily oversight.
