The Role at a Glance
The Sales & Design Consultant sells and designs custom swimming pools — turning a customer’s vision into a stunning design and a signed contract. This role blends excellent communication, deep product knowledge, design proficiency (Structure Studios), and the ability to understand and deliver on what each customer really wants.
You own the customer relationship from first meeting through contract: understanding their needs and budget, assessing the site, designing the pool in 2D and 3D, presenting with impact, and preparing accurate proposals — all while delivering a white-glove experience that earns referrals.
What You’ll Own
Customer Interaction
Engage customers in person, by phone, and email to understand their pool-related needs.Answer inquiries with detailed information on options, features, and pricing; address concerns and objections.Meet with clients to understand preferences, requirements, and budget; gather site information (topography, structures, utilities).Conceptualization & Design
Develop creative pool design concepts that align with client preferences and site constraints.Use design software (Structure Studios) to create detailed 2D and 3D renderings.Integrate landscaping and hardscaping; incorporate client feedback into revisions.Sales Presentations & Proposals
Create and deliver compelling, customized sales presentations that highlight unique value.Prepare accurate, detailed quotes including all relevant costs; tailor proposals to the customer.Clearly articulate the value proposition and close the sale.Collaboration & Expertise
Coordinate with production and service for a seamless customer experience and clean handoff.Communicate customer expectations and specifications to relevant teams.Stay current on industry trends, products, and design innovations; provide expert advice.Who Thrives in This Role

Support renovation projects, including demolition, replacement work, material handling, and jobsite preparation.
Accurately record time and maintain daily project logs within JobTread.
Safely operate company vehicles and, as experience grows, assist with operating company equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Coastal Pools professionally on every jobsite.
Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll DoAs a Pool Service Technician I, you'll work alongside experienced technicians while learning all aspects of residential pool maintenance and service.
Responsibilities include:
Perform routine pool cleaning, vacuuming, brushing, skimming, and filter maintenance.Test and balance pool water using proper chemical procedures.Learn to inspect pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, and other pool equipment.Assist with seasonal pool openings, closings, and winterization.Safely handle, transport, and store pool chemicals.Complete service reports, water chemistry readings, and customer notes using our CRM system.Communicate concerns or equipment issues to the Service Manager.Provide professional, courteous customer service at every home.What We're Looking ForStrong work ethic and positive attitude.Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.Basic mechanical aptitude.Attention to detail and pride in quality work.Valid Maryland driver's license.Reliable transportation to and from work.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.No previous pool experience is required.
