    Position Summary / Job Scope

    If you like to make equipment work better, this is the role for you. As a Field Service Technician, you’ll work at customer sites where you are the face of Clean Tech and an integral part of a vibrant and diverse team.

    We train our Field Service Technicians to support the technology that the world relies on to ensure clean air. You are a steward of the environment when Centrotherm Abatement Systems perform to their potential. You’ll work beside global customers to install, maintain and upgrade their Centrotherm equipment, delivering world-class support for multimillion-dollar production systems.

    Minimum Knowledge and Skills

    This is a technical, hands-on role and will be compensated on an hourly (non-exempt) basis. You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.     Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities

    Leads preventative maintenance inspections and required corrective maintenance duties and major repairs on Centrotherm equipment.Performs periodic system maintenance per customer schedules and requirements.Assists in technically complex troubleshooting work.Performs work within generally defined parameters.Assignments are semi-routine and completed by referencing work instructions, PTPs or other written instruction. Installs equipment upgrades utilizing equipment documentation and work instructions. Assists with training new employees on preventative maintenance tasks. Requires some degree of judgment in resolving nonstandard problems. Normally receives general instructions on most work. Meets company and customer reporting requirements ensuring accurate logs are maintained. Ahere to all company and customer safety policies.     Secondary Functions

    Communicates with customers and internal stakeholders regarding equipment status and escalations. Assists with part ordering, maintaining parts inventory.Completes failure analysis paperwork, part shipping and part decontamination documentation as required. Assists with developing pre-task plans, troubleshooting plans and structured problem-solving plans.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    2+ years of experience operating and performing repairs and preventative maintenance in a semiconductor manufacturing or other similar industry.

    Minimum and Preferred Education/Training/Experience

    The candidate must possess at least two of the following educational or experience requirements:

    Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in STEM or technical program.Military service with 12+ months of experience considered in lieu of degree and/or equivalent technical degree experience.Technical certification or trade school diploma.6+ months of experience gained through a certification, apprenticeship, or other facilities experience.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

    Must be able to:

    Work in an environment with potentially hazardous materials wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.May require use of a respirator.May require the ability to carry out a coworker in case of emergency. Able to lift up to 30 pounds. Typically walks 3-5 miles a day with additional time spent standing/sitting.Work a fixed schedule as determined by management and customer requirements.     Position Summary / Job Scope

    The Applications Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing technical support and expertise in abatement applications for Pfeiffer abatement. This role will collaborate closely with the Applications & Technology team and interface with various stakeholders to ensure effective integration of Pfeiffer abatements in semiconductor processes.


    Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities

    Collaborate with customers to understand their semiconductor processes and requirements, providing tailored abatement solutions and specifications.Provide technical expertise in integrating Pfeiffer products into diverse semiconductor manufacturing environments.Specify and validate system configurations for semiconductor customers, ensuring alignment with industry standards and Application BKMs.Conduct technical sales presentations to showcase Pfeiffer applications in semiconductor manufacturing.Collaborate with technology, engineering, manufacturing, and sales department to assist in the continuous improvement of legacy products (CIP) and/or design and development of new products necessary to make target accounts successful.Work closely with Engineering and Application teams to prepare and review equipment engineering documents (SEED, etc.).Provide input and actively participate in abatement troubleshooting/expertise and resolving quality / process issues with pumps installed at target customer sites; actively participate in writing failure analysis reports and 8D reports to customer.     The Engineer in Charge supports in-field activities for abatement systems within the Engineering department. This role focuses on executing troubleshooting tasks, assisting with on-site support, and contributing to projects that improve system reliability and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Technical Service Manager, the Engineer in Charge works directly with field teams to address technical issues, perform system checks, and follow established procedures for issue resolution. This position is an opportunity to develop technical expertise and grow into more advanced responsibilities through hands-on work and collaboration with senior engineers.

    Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities

    Provide on-site technical support and hands-on training for operators and maintenance personnel on abatement systems under the direction of the technical service manager.Lead escalated technical issues using structured troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and established diagnostic methods to identify and resolve failures.Own and support 8D reports by collecting data, documenting findings, defining root cause, implementing corrective actions, and tracking recurring issues and trends.Execute engineering change management projects, system continuous improvement projects, and field implementations, including risk reduction activities and documentation updates.Analyze tool and fleet performance data to identify recurring failures, weak signals, and improvement opportunities. Support KPI tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate and high-quality documentation including system configurations, procedures, known issues, corrective actions, and resolution records.Support and participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities for hardware and system changes to identify and reduce operational risk before failures occur.Track high-priority tools, recurring technical issues, and First of a Kind (FOK) systems until stable operation is achieved.
