The Applications Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing technical support and expertise in abatement applications for Pfeiffer abatement. Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities

The Engineer in Charge supports in-field activities for abatement systems within the Engineering department. This role focuses on executing troubleshooting tasks, assisting with on-site support, and contributing to projects that improve system reliability and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Technical Service Manager, the Engineer in Charge works directly with field teams to address technical issues, perform system checks, and follow established procedures for issue resolution. This position is an opportunity to develop technical expertise and grow into more advanced responsibilities through hands-on work and collaboration with senior engineers.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities
Provide on-site technical support and hands-on training for operators and maintenance personnel on abatement systems under the direction of the technical service manager.Lead escalated technical issues using structured troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and established diagnostic methods to identify and resolve failures.Own and support 8D reports by collecting data, documenting findings, defining root cause, implementing corrective actions, and tracking recurring issues and trends.Execute engineering change management projects, system continuous improvement projects, and field implementations, including risk reduction activities and documentation updates.Analyze tool and fleet performance data to identify recurring failures, weak signals, and improvement opportunities.
