    This is intended to be a 3 month temp assignment. Potential to become temp to hire.
    Will assist with cycle counting and inventory.
    Some level of customer service experience needed. Will be working directly with the customer.
    Will issue parts.
    Some level of computer experience needed. Will use computer/scanning equipment to issue parts and materials.
    Will use manual pallet jack.
    Will be lifting up to 50# on occasion.
    Will assist with receiving and putting items away.
    May fill vending machines.
    Warehouse is not temp controlled. Can be cold in winter or hot in summer.
    This position will require a lot of walking throughout the facility. Associate will be on their feet a lot and this is a fast paced environment.
    Will need experience with an iPad. Will be used daily.
    Will climb ladder on occasion (max 6-8 feet).
    Steel toe shoes required.

    Responsibilities

    Unloads, receives and puts away incoming product, goods, tools and/or equipment; unpacks bales, crates, and other containers; checks for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
    Accurately sorts, labels, moves and stores items; places material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, style, or product codes; arranges storage to optimize crib space.
    Issues product, goods, tools and/or equipment to site employees; documents and maintains accurate records for issued and returned items.
    Enters data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieves stored information to respond to inquiries (e.g., inventory levels or delivery schedules.); documents discrepancies on an error log and seeks management advice on appropriate corrective action.
    Requests requisitions to replenish inventory.
    Assists with inventory level maintenance; performs cycle counts and prepares report results.
    Inspects and measures tools/equipment for defects, wear and tear and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
    Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment.
    Delivers tools or equipment to associate work locations.
    Investigates and locates lost or misplaced equipment or safety supplies.
    May repair, service and lubricate tools and equipment as required.
    Performs other related duties as requested.


    Requirements

    Job Qualifications:

    3+ months relevant experience and/or training. High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
    Relevant experience and/or aptitude should include:
    Loading, unloading, picking, packing or moving goods in a warehouse environment; forklift / cherry picker experience preferred.
    Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or a demonstrated technical aptitude to learn; preferred technical skills to include but not limited to MS-Office products, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21.
    Demonstration of basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals); ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent preferred.

    The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing scheduled multi-state weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll as well as occasional off-cycle payments. SJI processes pay under several Federal EINs, includes hourly and salaried employees, and is comprised of both union and non-union employees. This includes processing all special compensation and bonus payments with the highest standard of accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality. Timely preparation and submission of invoices for payroll funding, tax payments, and third party payments is paramount.

    Primary Skills - In house payroll experience with union and multi-state payroll and workday payroll experience

    3 month contract with possible extension

    Responsibilities

    You must be able to maintain relationships and communicate effectively. This role works closely with HR partners and must be able to understand and prioritize requests. Payroll coordinates with Accounting to ensure a smooth data flow for general ledger posting as well as completing monthly account reconciliations. Verbal and written communication with external partners is also required. Payroll plays an important role in testing updates and changes to all processes that flow into and out of payroll.

    Compliance with company policies as well as Federal, State and Local laws in completing all paperwork and correspondence related to payroll administration, assisting with year-end procedures and projects is a top priority. Maintaining payroll-related records and archives, documenting and updating payroll procedures, and sharing data appropriately and timely is crucial as is sending timely replies to internal and external audit requests. The ideal candidate will have related prior experience in multiple states. Job duties as follows:

    Maintain and closely adhere to schedule of reporting requirements for each client by entity and by state.

    Request and obtain payroll, class codes, hours, loss information, financial statements and other documents from the client, TPA or other as required in each state.

    Follow up with client or others on tight diary for receipt of information in order to stay in compliance with strict state deadlines.

    Actively review status of all activity and input information into the various state web portals.

    Guide clients on certifying and/or signing off on information on the web portals. Instruct clients on payment requirements

    Maintain detailed records of all activity including requests for documents, data, actuarial reports, proof of payments, etc. Assist clients to add entities to state programs as necessary

    Review surety bonds or other security requirements and levels with each state. Request review of security as necessary. Provide actuarial reports and other information requested by the state to support security.
