Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to deliver excellent patient care in a primary care setting in Florida. The NP/PA will provide preventive and sick care in an office setting, maintain accurate clinical records in our EHR system.
Requirements include but are not limited to;
Work under physician's supervision in the care and treatment of patients.Performs screenings, physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.Discusses case with physician, if needed, to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.Report as needed to MD any pertinent information or situations that impact on patient care.Complete required documentation and assigned tasks on time (jellybeans, EHR processes, telephone encounters, locking charts, etc.).Review reports (labs, x-rays, EKG's, etc.), sign-off, and follow up per guidelines.Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment.Maintain up to date knowledge of coding and billing requirements. Provide accurate coding information in EHR that corresponds to care given and documented progress notes.Provide efficient care to minimize patient wait time and achieve practice productivity goals.Adhere to current disease management protocols, and key clinical pathways, and use them to improve clinical performance.Complete all duties, responsibilities, and competencies in a manner that is appropriate to the age groups to whom care/services are being provided.Maximize patient satisfaction by providing evidence-based patient education, shared decision making and excellent bedside manner.Monitors and maintains progress of patients and reports progress to supervising physician.Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties is essential.Experience in a primary care or comparable care setting preferred Experience documenting clinical data in an electronic health record system (EHR).Perform other duties as assigned by Management.Experience:
Minimum One (1) year of clinical experience in a Primary Care setting.Certification/Licensure:
Board certified or board eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to practice in the state of Florida.Active Florida license requiredDEA license requiredBLS certification requiredBenefits:

Commitment and ability to keep up to date with scientific and technological developments/literature.Valid Florida drivers license.Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.Knowledge of disease prevention and treatmentDemonstrated ability to serve diverse populations.Complete all required training courses on time and maintain proper certification.Team oriented and a positive attitudeMaintain proper and professional appearance at all times.Strong interest in Life Style Medicine.
