As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside Providers and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. You will be helping in answering phone calls, Checking patients in and out, and schedule appointments. Everyone in our small office is cross trained to cover for other employees. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience.

    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to deliver excellent patient care in a primary care setting in Florida. The NP/PA will provide preventive and sick care in an office setting, maintain accurate clinical records in our EHR system.

    Requirements include but are not limited to;

    Work under physician's supervision in the care and treatment of patients.Performs screenings, physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.Discusses case with physician, if needed, to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.Report as needed to MD any pertinent information or situations that impact on patient care.Complete required documentation and assigned tasks on time (jellybeans, EHR processes, telephone encounters, locking charts, etc.).Review reports (labs, x-rays, EKG's, etc.), sign-off, and follow up per guidelines.Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment.Maintain up to date knowledge of coding and billing requirements. Provide accurate coding information in EHR that corresponds to care given and documented progress notes.Provide efficient care to minimize patient wait time and achieve practice productivity goals.Adhere to current disease management protocols, and key clinical pathways, and use them to improve clinical performance.Complete all duties, responsibilities, and competencies in a manner that is appropriate to the age groups to whom care/services are being provided.Maximize patient satisfaction by providing evidence-based patient education, shared decision making and excellent bedside manner.Monitors and maintains progress of patients and reports progress to supervising physician.Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties is essential.Experience in a primary care or comparable care setting preferred Experience documenting clinical data in an electronic health record system (EHR).Perform other duties as assigned by Management.Experience:

    Minimum One (1) year of clinical experience in a Primary Care setting.Certification/Licensure:
