New York State Sales Rep
The State Sales Rep will work autonomously to focus on distributor management, developing new accounts, maintaining current accounts and building the Citizen Cider brand within their assigned state.
The position requires a self-motivated, organized and passionate person with craft brew/cider sales experience.
This position is salaried within a starting range of $55,000 to $65,000 depending on experience and skill level. There is opportunity for bonuses throughout the year.

Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of restaurant experience (although we are always willing to train the right person). We have a menu that uses our ciders in many of our dishes to highlight the versatility of our products. We hope to find people that are enthusiastic to learn about cider and our various products, thrive in fast-paced environments, and can work well in a team setting. The schedule is flexible, however Saturday availability is highly valuable.
A little about us. We are located in Burlington's South End right next to BBCO and Switchback Brewery. We are not just a pub as all our ciders are pressed, fermented and packaged on site. We have a full lunch and dinner menu, and retail shop. We get a lot of tourism and cider loves through our doors. Due to our cider being gluten free we also offer a great menu of gluten free fare for our GF guests.
Summary:
To participate in operating a clean, sanitary and orderly kitchen. And to provide quality meals with continuity in Citizen Cider's Pub.
Essential functions:
Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, and grills.
Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
Bake, roast, broil, fry, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and provide food to server/bartender or patrons.
Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.
Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods.
Keep records and accounts.

Summary
A cider maker manages the cider making process from sourcing raw materials through to ensuring the product is safely dispatched. A cider maker must understand all aspects of cider production including the pressing of fruit, fermentation process, testing of cider and sanitation.
The cider maker must ensure the production process that meets food and safety requirements within the first 90 days of employment. To do well in this role, you must be very methodical to ensure the quality of cider produced is consistent. Individuals with wine making or beer making experience may already have many of the skills necessary to become a cider maker.
This is a entry-level position with the expectation to learn and become competent in all responsibilities outlined in the job description.
