Field Service Technicians are a key component to the success of our Company. We are looking for a skilled individual who will uphold the highest of standards when working on Cisco Equipment's and our Customers' equipment.
Scope & Responsibilities:Field Service Technicians report to the service manager and are responsible for the effective repair of machine components in the field, at high levels of quality. This individual must work independent of direct supervision in a field environment. The Key responsibilities of this position will include:Recondition and Repair Equipment and Components.Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assignedPre-Order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairsEffect the repairs required in a safe and effective mannerEnsure all repairs are completed as assignedEnsure the cosmetic appearance upon completion as requiredEnsure all parts and materials not used are returned as per guidelinesMaintain the work area in a clean and safe conditionMaintain Good Working Records for Time, Parts, Supplies, and Outside Purchases in Repairs.All record-keeping methods are followed per instructionsAll cost-related items are included in the job jacketEnsure all records kept are legible or in compliance with established methodsReport all record-keeping daily from the field, even when not returning to the company daily.Maintain and Care for Shop Tools, Equipment, and Vehicles.All specialty tools used on the job are obtained using the methods establishedAll tools and special equipment used on repairs are clean before being returnedAll specialty tools used on jobs are returned to the original location in working conditionMaintain the field vehicle in a manner aimed at ensuring proper operations and conditionMaintain the field vehicle in a clean and cosmetically pleasing manner as per guidelinesMaintain personal appearance in a professional and neat conditionCommunicate with Others Professionally.All communications with customers is conducted in a manner reflecting respect and honestyAll communications with co-workers is conducted following the golden ruleEnsure that communication is done clearly and calmlyPerform Diagnostic Inspections as Directed.All fieldwork requires repair determination, by the technician, once at the machineAny inspections required to determine the cause of failure is done following established guidelinesAll inspections are completed with the cause of failure identifiedAll failures identified are matched to solutions necessary to affect a repair
Requirements:Skills & Qualifications:The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, intelligent andable to adapt to all of the forces around them - customers, suppliers, department employees, coworkers, and manufacturers employees.Strong mechanical skills.Good communication skills.Good, safe work habits.Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.Strong diagnostic skillsAble to work with minimal supervisionMust have a pleasing personality with a sales aptitude
Education & Experience:A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repair; recommendedThree (+) years of related experience requiredPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standing, squatting, bending, or stetting.Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at timesMust be able to pass a WorkSteps exam (fit for duty)Compensation & Benefits:Compensation will be a competitive hourly rate, generous PTO and Holiday plan, along with Company offered benefits, and 401k (with matching once eligible).
