Toddler Lead Teacher
Description:
As a team leader, the Teacher is responsible for curriculum implementation, the overall supervision and management of a safe, developmentally appropriate toddler classroom, parent involvement, and ensuring compliance with city and state regulatory agencies. Candidates must be extremely motivated, passionate, and capable of multi-tasking. Must have a positive attitude and able to interact with families, parents and children.
Responsibilities:
Meeting the individual needs of the childrenParticipation in staff and training meetingsArrange rooms and furniture to support the development of the children in the classroomUnderstanding of child development and age appropriate activitiesKnowledge of teaching strategies Gold AssessmentKnowledge of Creative CurriculumImplementation of activities that develop self-esteem and social skillsDevelop developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with common core standardsDevelop developmentally appropriate lesson and implement lesson plansComputer literate- ability to input and submit observations onto Teaching Strategies GOLDParent and Teacher Conferences three times per yearPrepare Monthly Newsletter
Qualifications:
AA/BA in Early Childhood Education or CDA working towards a degree in Early childhoodWorking experience with children 3+ yearsFingerprints DOE(PETS)State Clearance SCRCurrent Physical ExamCompany DescriptionChristina Daycare Inc., doing business as Blake & Milford Daycare Center (DCC), offers educational services to 50 children in the East New York community.
