    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the Facilities Manager and based out of the Akin Lake City office, this role assists and supports the Facilities teams and corporate functions at our non-profit agency. Helps with tracking, scheduling and maintaining vendor activities related to facilities, equipment, supplies and other building operations and support. Ensures the proper functioning of our facilities and building assets while coordinating with other departments to optimize the company's overall use of resources. Has access to protected healthcare information (PHI) or confidential identifiable information (CII), both paper and electronic, as necessary to perform related job duties and responsibilities.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Responsible for completing facilities tasks and operational improvements at offices in Lake CityPrioritize the health and safety of staff and tenants by maintaining facilities according to all safety and environmental standardsConducts regular facilities inspections and address deficiencies in a timely mannerMonitor, coordinate and document building and equipment maintenance schedulesOrganize and document building facilities standards for statewide distribution to staff and tenantsPerform general repairs not requiring a specialized technicianEstablish and maintain relationships with third party vendors to coordinate and schedule repair of complex systems and ensure satisfactory completion of projectsRespond to, resolve and assign work orders, email and maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner and ensure minimal disruptions to serviceEngage collaboratively with tenants and team members to develop long-term plans for building repairs and disruptionsAssist in organizing and setting up offices, rooms and spaces for the needs or requirements of programs and events on siteMonitor security and fire alarms.     KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal

    Basic plumbing skills to address leaks, clogs, and other drainage issues

    Groundskeeping knowledge for maintaining outdoor areas such as lawns and landscaped space

    Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in completing tasks and identifying potential hazards

    Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

    Many WISe participants are reluctant to share their perspectives, hopes, and concerns — particularly those who have been marginalized or unheard in previous system of care experiences. You will build the kind of authentic, peer-based relationship that makes it safe for youth to speak up. Your work ensures that each young person’s perspective is captured with honesty and dignity in the Cross-System Care Plan (CSCP) and the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) tool, so that the plan truly belongs to them.

    Services are provided in homes, schools, and other community settings with a flexible schedule that meets youth where they are.

    The Family Resource Specialist is the first face of the Akin Family Resource Center when participants come in or call for resources, support, and programs. This role will perform a variety of tasks related to the daily operation of the FRC. Has access to protected healthcare information (PHI) or confidential identifiable information (CII), both paper and electronic, as necessary, to perform related job duties and responsibilities.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Family Resource Center Operations

    Creating a warm and welcoming environment for all community members who walk in or callAssisting participants in accessing concrete goods in the resource roomProviding information about Akin programs and external resourcesReferring participants to Family Navigation for secondary prevention and/or family development activitiesReferring participants to other Akin programs available by siteReferring participants to external resources as needed/appropriateKeeping Resource Room stocked and notifying FRC Manager of resource needsEntering data about participant visits, resource room inventory, other data needs as assignedLight clerical work to support the operations of the Akin Family Resource Center

    Duties Related to 3 Pillars: Behavioral Health, Early Learning, Family Support

    Depending on location, this role may also have duties related to:Welcoming families who arrive at the FRC for Behavioral Health, Early Learning, and Family Support servicesAnswering phone, email, and in person inquiries about Akin programs such as Early Learning, Behavioral Health, and Family SupportPerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor to advance the mission, vision, and values of Akin

    HYBRID WORK ARRANGEMENTS:

    Hybrid work is a benefit of Akin’s flexible workplace but cannot be offered for all positions. Some positions require daily presence in the office. Hybrid work arrangements may be adjusted or rescinded based upon business needs.

    *Due to the need to be client facing, Family Resource Specialists working at a Family Resource Center are 100% in-person and are not eligible for hybrid work. The position also requires occasional evening and weekend work to support events, deadlines, or operational needs.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 years’ experience in social or human services working with children and families or combination of education and experience to that demonstrates skills and abilities required for the roleA valid driver’s license and a favorable driving record, with no more than three violations within the past three years

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bi-lingual (as needed)Lived experience

    SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

    We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position.

    The target starting pay for this position is $22.5055 - $26.448 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
