Children’s Cardiology, a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is comprised of more than 60 pediatric cardiologists providing comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease. The Cardiac Sonographer will perform and report on and effectively identify cardiac and other physiologic anomalies. This position will be assisting with other modalities in clinic.
Qualified Interpreter: After completion of training, employees who pass a company approved Qualified Interpreter exam are eligible to receive additional pay. Employees must keep the certification active to receive the additional pay.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Sonography, Cardiovascular technology, nursing or other allied health program.Minimum of two years of cardiac sonography experience; pediatric/fetal experience preferred. Graduate of a cardiac ultrasound program, prefer CAAHEP accredited.ARDMS registered or registry eligible or registered as RCS or RCCS by CCI. Note: If not registered, Pediatric echo registry exam to be taken within two years of employment.BLS certification required.
