Monitors production floor activity and ensure plant personnel operate within CHEP safety guidelines
Assist with maintaining compliance with local, State, and Federal environmental regulations
Executes all GAP (CHEP safety program) strategies and program initiatives
Track performance on safety and report to supervisors and management
Supports the training and development of team members to meet corporate health, safety, and environmental guidelines
Maintain safety documents for all plant personnel
Lead safety committee and review all pending safety or environmental concerns, risks and develop mitigation plans accordingly
Support and at times lead group projects targeting safety systems and manufacturing improvements
Work with Regional HSE Specialist and site leadership to address plant risks
Perform orientation safety training and walkthroughs for all new hires
Contributes to driving continuous improvement at the plant and strengthen internal policies, procedures, and systems around safety

The salary range for this position is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. Position PurposeAs a Forklift Operator with a strong emphasis on safety, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to supply and retrieve pallets or materials from various departments within the plant. Your role involves making decisions to optimize material movement and contribute to the overall efficiency of the plant operations. Additionally, you may be required to perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating and replacing liquefied-gas tanks on the forklift.
Major/Key AccountabilitiesMaterial Handling & Forklift Operation:Operate the forklift to efficiently move pallets, containers, and materials throughout the plant facility.
Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets and transports load to designated area.
Conduct inspection of the forklift prior to operating, promptly reporting issues to maintenance team for resolution.
Loading and Unloading:Assist in loading and unloading trucks or containers with pallets or materials using the forklift, ensuring proper placement and securement of items.
Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
Maintain awareness of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the work area
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily

Position PurposeThe Pallet Repair Operator is responsible for the full assembly of pallets in a service center, using a pneumatic nail gun to repair all components. This individual places a pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place. In an assembly department takes stock boards and nails together based on type of pallet desired. Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.
Major/Key AccountabilitiesPallet Repair:
Follow repair guidelines to execute the full repair of all components of a pallet including but not limited to removal and replacement of defective boards.
Efficiency and Productivity:
Strive to meet daily production targets.
Quality Control:
