    POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

    In the electrical maintenance role you will Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical systems of the plant in accordance with codes, regulations, and specifications, ensuring minimum down time of the plant operations, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Support maximizing facility uptime through execution of rolling equipment setups.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Constant standing. Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs. Occasional carrying, lifting to 60 lbs, hand use, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, below waist level work, complex neck/spinal motion, and walking. Minimal climbing, foot use, and lifting up to 120 lbs. Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

    High School Diploma or GED. Accredited maintenance apprenticeship or two years technical training with two plus years' industrial electrician experience. Five plus years' industrial electrician experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, instructions, safety rules, code books, and specifications. Demonstrated ability to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and machines for possible problems. Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems. Knowledge of drives, controls, motion controllers, PLCs, and/or motors. Understanding of national electric code (NEC) and NFPA-70E. Ability to operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, overhead traveling cranes, and aerial lift platforms in a safe and professional manner. Ability to use math skills including fractions, percentages, geometry, and probability. Ability to read and understand technical procedures Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow and give instructions. Ability to work well with other employees. Proficient in basic computer skills. Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge of silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCR), rectifiers, capacitors, and resistors. Advanced knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemen, GE, etc.) Advanced knowledge of operation of SCRs, rectifiers, capacitors, and resistors. Advanced knowledge of Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) troubleshooting experience. Machine tool, forklift truck, and crane experience. Advanced knowledge and aptitude on hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, machining, and mechanical systems. Troubleshooting experience with automated systems (material handling, machine tools, and metal casting equipment) Work experience in a foundry environment.

    MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Perform advanced problem solving by identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting electrical issues. Perform a wide variety of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting work to keep production and support equipment in operating condition. Act as subject matter expert for electrical systems. Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose and repair. May perform ARC flash program. Layout control panels using schematics and I/O mapping. Perform a wide variety of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting work to keep production and support equipment in operating conditions. Plan, layout, and install complex wiring circuits and distribution centers in conformance with established electrical codes; plan, measure, bend, and fir conduit. Install and troubleshoot motor control centers, power distribution panels, lighting panels, and controls on plant equipment such as bar pulling machines, cut off equipment, centerless grinders, trepanning lathes, dust collectors, melting and holding furnaces, and other similar types of equipment. Repair, replace, and connect single or three-phase motors AC or DC, on all types of production and support equipment. Maintain and replace starter, contactors, relays, timers, limit switches, and counters. Use material handling equipment when performing certain electrical maintenance work; operate a forklift truck for transporting equipment and lifting employees; use specialized power equipment for pulling cable and wire. Use multimeters and other test instruments when troubleshooting electrical circuits; interpret resistance, voltage and amperage readings to arrive at the solution to electrical problems; use instrumentation built into equipment to diagnose certain malfunctions. Proceed independently when installing or troubleshooting electrical equipment; obtain needed information form wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and code books. Follow all plant safety rules; including lock out of all plant equipment so that it is safe to work on; use safety equipment appropriate for the job; be aware of the safety of others. Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.     POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

    In the electrical maintenance role you will Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical systems of the plant in accordance with codes, regulations, and specifications, ensuring minimum down time of the plant operations, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Support maximizing facility uptime through execution of rolling equipment setups.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Constant standing. Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs. Occasional carrying, lifting to 60 lbs, hand use, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, below waist level work, complex neck/spinal motion, and walking. Minimal climbing, foot use, and lifting up to 120 lbs. Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

    High School Diploma or GED. Accredited maintenance apprenticeship or two years technical training with two plus years' industrial electrician experience. Five plus years' industrial electrician experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, instructions, safety rules, code books, and specifications. Demonstrated ability to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and machines for possible problems. Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems. Knowledge of drives, controls, motion controllers, PLCs, and/or motors. Understanding of national electric code (NEC) and NFPA-70E. Ability to operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, overhead traveling cranes, and aerial lift platforms in a safe and professional manner. Ability to use math skills including fractions, percentages, geometry, and probability. Ability to read and understand technical procedures Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow and give instructions. Ability to work well with other employees. Proficient in basic computer skills. Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Knowledge of silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCR), rectifiers, capacitors, and resistors. Advanced knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemen, GE, etc.) Advanced knowledge of operation of SCRs, rectifiers, capacitors, and resistors. Advanced knowledge of Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) troubleshooting experience. Machine tool, forklift truck, and crane experience. Advanced knowledge and aptitude on hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, machining, and mechanical systems. Troubleshooting experience with automated systems (material handling, machine tools, and metal casting equipment) Work experience in a foundry environment.

    MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Perform advanced problem solving by identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting electrical issues. Perform a wide variety of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting work to keep production and support equipment in operating condition. Act as subject matter expert for electrical systems. Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose and repair. May perform ARC flash program. Layout control panels using schematics and I/O mapping. Perform a wide variety of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting work to keep production and support equipment in operating conditions. Plan, layout, and install complex wiring circuits and distribution centers in conformance with established electrical codes; plan, measure, bend, and fir conduit. Install and troubleshoot motor control centers, power distribution panels, lighting panels, and controls on plant equipment such as bar pulling machines, cut off equipment, centerless grinders, trepanning lathes, dust collectors, melting and holding furnaces, and other similar types of equipment. Repair, replace, and connect single or three-phase motors AC or DC, on all types of production and support equipment. Maintain and replace starter, contactors, relays, timers, limit switches, and counters. Use material handling equipment when performing certain electrical maintenance work; operate a forklift truck for transporting equipment and lifting employees; use specialized power equipment for pulling cable and wire. Use multimeters and other test instruments when troubleshooting electrical circuits; interpret resistance, voltage and amperage readings to arrive at the solution to electrical problems; use instrumentation built into equipment to diagnose certain malfunctions. Proceed independently when installing or troubleshooting electrical equipment; obtain needed information form wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and code books. Follow all plant safety rules; including lock out of all plant equipment so that it is safe to work on; use safety equipment appropriate for the job; be aware of the safety of others. Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.     The entry hourly rate for this position is $35.25 per hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on various factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
