This role is an important piece of this process as this person will be the direct line of communication regarding outstanding balances for care received. It's important that people in this role have great attention to financial account details and care for our patients as much as we do.

    About The Role

Our Admissions team members ensure that every possible patient and family member feel taken care of by Charlie Health. In this role, you'll work to facilitate admission for hundreds of at-risk clients.

    This position is highly interactive and serves as a critical part of aiding our patients, as you will be their first introduction to Charlie Health. Your responsibilities are directly tied to our core mission, increasing the number of people we can treat every day.

    In this role, you'll adhere to strict timelines and documentation standards. You'll be responsible for meeting and exceeding specific admission quotas to ensure a seamless process for potential patients and families. Your performance will be measured against key KPIs, including admission rates, patient satisfaction scores, and time-to-admission metrics

    ResponsibilitiesManage high volume outreach to prospective clientsChampion the early stages of the admissions process by initiating compassionate, timely, and strategic contact to spark interest and move clients forward. Coordinate closely with Admissions Coordinators to ensure warm handoffs for qualified leads, maintaining speed to assessment and high engagement standards. Maintain meticulous client records, including contact attempts, status updates, and intake notes, with a focus on data accuracy and privacy standards. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Charlie Health's mission and clinical model, and confidently communicate our value to prospective clients and families. Engage all prospective clients, families, and referral sources in a professional, inclusive, and compassionate manner that builds trust from first contact. Support reengagement strategies by identifying trends in client drop-off and tailoring outreach accordingly to re-spark interest in care. Identify potential barriers to admission (e.g., scheduling conflicts, hesitation, financial concerns) and route clients appropriately for additional support.     Additional Information

    Please note that this role is not available to candidates in Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maine, New York, or Washington.

    The total target base compensation for this role will be between $54,000 and $60,000 per year at the commencement of employment. In addition to base compensation, this role offers a target performance-based bonus. The target total cash compensation range, including potential bonus, will be between $66,000 and $84,000 per year. Please note, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. #LI-remote

    About the Role

    The Director of Care Navigation is a key strategic and operational leader at Charlie Health, responsible for overseeing all referral communications and optimizing care coordination across the client journey. This role bridges Growth and Operations, ensuring alignment between our referral strategy and care delivery functions. The Director will lead a high-performing team tasked with delivering exceptional service to referral partners (e.g., hospitals, outpatient providers, schools), maintaining strategic relationships, tracking treatment progress, and planning post-discharge transitions.

    In addition to day-to-day team leadership and partner communication, the Director will use data insights and cross-functional collaboration to improve operational workflows, drive strategy, and inform referral decisions. Success will be measured by client outcomes, referral partner retention, operational KPIs, and the ability to scale and adapt processes across new markets and programs.

    The total target base compensation for this role will be between $123,000 and $160,000 per year at the commencement of employment. In addition to base compensation, this role also offers a performance bonus. The expected total cash compensation range, including potential bonus, will be between $136,000 and $176,000 per year. Please note, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits. #LI-HYBRID

    About the Role

    The Director of Care Delivery is a key strategic and operational leader at Charlie Health, responsible for overseeing all referral communications and optimizing care coordination across the client journey. This role bridges Growth and Operations, ensuring alignment between our referral strategy and care delivery functions.     About the Role

    This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the verification of benefits process ensuring efficient, accurate policy reviews and effectively handling referral complexities. Obtaining accurate benefits is the first step in the financial process meaning accuracy is key as it determines patient responsibility and our ability to get reimbursed for services.

    Responsibilities

    Medical Coding:

    Review clinical documents and patient records to determine accurate medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures.Assign appropriate codes based on clinical information to ensure compliance with insurance requirements and healthcare regulations.Ensure coding meets payer policies, including Medicaid, and commercial payers, and adheres to current coding guidelines.Stay up to date with changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and payer policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:

    Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including timely submission of claims, follow-up on unpaid denied claims, and resolution of payment issues.Review EOBs (Explanation of Benefits), reviewing contracts, researching payer updates and payer remittances when necessary to identify and resolve discrepancies, denials, or underpayments.Work with insurance companies, and internal departments to resolve any outstanding balances and ensure accurate and prompt payment.Maintain accurate AR records and provide regular reports on the status of outstanding accounts.RequirementsHighschool diploma or equivalent requiredCertification in Medical Coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is required.At least 2-3 years of experience in medical coding and accounts receivable management.Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems and healthcare billing practices.Familiarity with insurance verification, claims submission, and denials management.Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams.Proficient in using medical billing software and Microsoft Office applications.Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.Knowledge of healthcare regulations, payer policies, and coding updates.Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBenefits
