    Job DescriptionJob Description

    Chaparral is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our project management team on large scale commercial and industrial projects. This role involves assisting in various project-related tasks, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, a solid understanding of mechanical systems, mechanical insulation materials and codes, and exceptional organizational and communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Assist in project sales efforts and develop strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.Utilize the MIKE estimating system to accurately estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and time requirements.Plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring that all necessary records are maintained.Aid in managing the operational capabilities of the division to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Monitor productivity levels and address any challenges that arise with the labor pool, including documentation of performance issues and achievements.Enforce the Company’s Quality and Safety Programs to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.Drive performance and production, ensuring projects are completed on or under budget and within established timelines.Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor to support overall project goals and company objectives.

    Qualifications:

    Knowledge of mechanical insulation materials, HVAC systems, and plumbing codes, with a solid understanding of their application in commercial and industrial settings.Proven experience in project management or a related field, particularly in the insulation, HVAC, or plumbing industries.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration among project teams and clients.Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.Self-motivated with the ability to perform duties with minimal guidance, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with project management software and tools, including cost estimation systems like MIKE, is a plus.

    Chaparral is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Heat Trace Estimator–Designer to join our Heat Trace division. This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with multiple teams to support project success. This is an onsite position.



    Responsibilities

    Estimate Heat Trace projectsReview drawings and perform takeoffs for Heat Trace requirementsAnalyze plan documents, specifications, and related dataMark up specifications as neededAssist with layout and component locationCollaborate with estimating teams to determine proper componentsPerform data entry for estimates and projectsSupport the Heat Trace Design Group as needed

    Join Chaparral and help drive project success through financial leadership and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Project Cost Control Manager. This role is critical in overseeing project financial performance, monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and providing insights that support successful project execution.


    Key Responsibilities

    Develop, manage, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost control systems.Monitor project expenditures, labor productivity, and budget performance.Prepare and maintain cost reports, forecasts, variance analyses, and profitability assessments.Perform earned value management and variance analysis to support decision-making.Identify cost overruns, recommend corrective actions, and implement cost-saving strategies.Support change order pricing, estimates, and quantity/commodity tracking.Review and audit labor, equipment, and material invoices for accuracy.Prepare draft invoices and create/submit monthly pay applications.Maintain accounts receivable and payable reports, including reconciliation activities.Maintain material sales tax logs and support compliance requirements.Provide financial insights and reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to financial plans, policies, and procedures.Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management.



    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required) ; or equivalent relevant work experience.Strong understanding of project cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving skills with flexibility and creativity.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to perform effectively under deadlines and time-sensitive environments.
