    Your Role

    Would you like to write history? Are you known for having better sales numbers than everyone else? Do lucrative commission plans motivate you? If so, we have an exciting opportunity in our business development team that would allow you to establish relationships and secure contracts for our robust Logistics operations through direct and indirect sales methods. In this role you will identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase company sales. The role will need the right individual who can fit into our team and who can meet the varied challenges that come with being part of an environment at the forefront of shaping our managers.     What Are You Going To Do?

    Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customers. Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to close sales. Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets. Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking. Provide forecasts on best case and sales volumes over relevant time periods. Give sales presentations, submit opportunities, and submit activity and results reports to leadership. Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services and operations offered by the company. Interact regularly with station and operations managers and develop close and cooperative working relationships with operational staff to ensure customer's needs are met. Schedule and conduct a pre-determined number of face-to-face sales visits as directed by the sales or station management. Input sales call information into the sales data system or other designated sales call software provided by the company and/or provides sales reports as directed by sales or station management. Maintain a pre-determined number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts and progress toward closing. Meet or exceed sales threshold/quota as defined by the company. Work cooperatively with other sales and operational staff to support a team-selling environment.

    What Are We Looking For?

    Education and Experience: Logistics, transportation, supply chain knowledge +5 years Bachelor's Degree preferred. Will accept 10+ years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree in sales in transportation. Hunter mentality Business to Business sales experience with demonstrated history of sales achievements in a base plus commission environment. Experience closing sales at the executive level. Will consider people interested in shifting from: operations, account management or customer service in logistics, transportation, supply chain to sales. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint), internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Ability to generate complex, error-free charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and presentations Characteristics: Self-motivated. Able to achieve results by working independently with little or no supervision. Sense of urgency and follow-up. Strongly developed persuasive skills, proven negotiation skills.     YOUR ROLE

    Responsible for generating profitable revenue growth through marketing all products and services within a defined geographic territory by focusing 50% of the time and effort on retaining and growing revenue with existing customers, and 50% of time focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities. Model and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

    WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

    Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services and operations offered by the company and actively participate in product training sessions.Interact regularly with station and operations managers and develop close and cooperative working relationships with operational staff to ensure the customer's needs are met.Schedule and conduct a pre-determined number of face-to-face sales calls as directed by the sales or station management.Input sales call information into the sales data system, or other designated sales call software provided by the company and/or provide sales reports as directed by sales or station management.Maintain a pre-determined number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts and progress toward closing.Meet sales threshold/quota as defined by the company.Work cooperatively with other sales and operational staff to support a team-selling environment.Perform responsibilities in accordance with the terms of the Sales Performance Policy, Commission Model, and Acknowledgement Form.Perform other duties as assigned.

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    Education and Experience: High School Graduate or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum 3 years related experience in sales and 2 years of industry experience required. Valid state issued driver's license, acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance required. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. In depth knowledge of company products and services offered by CEVA. Knowledge of sales process including prospecting, customized sales approaches, maintaining sales records, developing needs assessments, product or service presentation, converting prospects to leads, leads into sales, effective closing, and account servicing knowledge.

    Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint), internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Ability to generate complex, error-free charts, graphs, spreadsheets and presentations Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with others of multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, customers and vendors. Verify and note the count and condition of cargo received, knowing when to refuse or accept with notation. Record receipts to appropriate forms and/or log books. Verify that proper documentation is attached. Sort cargo received by account or intended location and store in proper location. Accurately label freight to destination. Shuttle empty and full trailers within dock area and parking lots. Transport freight from storage dock area or trailers to designated area. Secure lifting attachments to freight to move to assigned location. Stack or assemble freight into bundles and band bundles together on pallets. Maintain clean work area. Clean out trailers if needed prior to moving them. May be required to perform post or pre-load inspections on trailers and document condition of equipment and trailers before re-use or reloading. Verify and report damages as discovered. Perform daily yard check.

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Education and Experience: High School Graduate or GED. Minimum 3 years industry driving experience may be substituted for a high school diploma or GED. Minimum 6 months related experience. Credentials: Valid state issued Class C Driver's License issued by the driver's home state of residence. Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations, TSA regulations and Company policy. Forklift Driver Certification. DOT Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials Certification.
