Overview:
Our San Jose client is seeking a Senior Paralegal to support their General Counsel in a fast-paced corporate environment. This is a hands-on role supporting a lean legal department with a strong focus on contract management, litigation support, and legal operations. A major focus of this role will be helping organize, clean up, and manage contracts and legal files within a complex contract management system while supporting broader legal department workflows and operations.
Responsibilities
Manage and organize contracts, legal records, and related documentationAssist with contract system cleanup, file organization, and process improvement initiativesReview and support commercial agreements, including NDAsProvide litigation support, including document organization, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with outside counselSupport corporate governance and entity management tasksConduct legal research and assist with operational projects as neededHelp improve legal department workflows, processes, and organization
Qualifications
5+ years of paralegal experience in a corporate or in-house legal environmentExperience supporting commercial contracts, including NDAsStrong contract management, organizational, and multitasking skillsExperience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) or document management systemsExperience with legal technology tools such as SharePoint, DocuSign, or similar platforms preferredAbility to work independently in a lean legal / department-of-one environmentHighly responsive with strong follow-through and sense of urgencyStrong communication skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
