    Cérélia's newly established Frozen Breakfast Business Unit – US Waffle Company - is driving an ambitious growth strategy, backed by two manufacturing facilities, Liberty, SC, and Hazelwood, MO. To effectively support the rapid scaling of operations at our state-of-the-art Hazelwood facility, US Waffle is seeking a dynamic and skilled Capex Engineer to join our team in Hazelwood, MO.

    The Packaging Operator is responsible for executing daily packaging operations, supporting line performance, and adhering to all plant policies and procedures. This role has the responsibility to always comply with Safety work rules as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures, and activities related to EHS, Food Safety & Quality, and Operations are followed.

    This role is responsible for contributing to the success of the manufacturing site in the areas of safety, quality, efficiency, and service. The Packaging Operator ensures the safe and efficient operation of packaging equipment while maintaining product quality and compliance with all food safety standards.
     Primary Responsibilities Assumes personal responsibility for a safe and healthy workplace by actively ensuring policies and procedures are followed.Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is consistently achieved.Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment (wrappers, cartoners, case packers, palletizers) to meet production standards.Perform equipment start-up, changeovers, and shutdown procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures.Ensure all products meet specifications for weight, seal integrity, coding, and overall appearance.Monitor line performance and take action to minimize downtime and material waste.Identify and escalate equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety risks in a timely manner.Support troubleshooting efforts and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues.Accurately complete all required production, quality, and downtime documentation.Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area at all times.Follow all plant policies, procedures, and standard work instructions.Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to support operational goals.Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.Performs other duties as assigned or of a similar nature or level. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.Experience operating packaging equipment is preferred.Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality standards.Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Strong communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately.Must be able to work with a sense of urgency and drive results.Proficient in basic computer systems for data entry and documentation.Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment

    Work Environment
    This position works in a manufacturing setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.  The employee is exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.  Exposure to flour, oil, heat, cold and normal production chemicals, and hazards.Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, gloves, boots, aprons and/or safety glasses/goggles may be required. Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, shoulder-to-overhead and pushing/pulling/carrying.Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend/twist neck and back; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands. Ability to tolerate humid, wet working environments with temperatures up to 100 degrees F.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a Full-Time Hourly position requiring 40 hours per week, and it may require working additional shift hours and weekends depending on the needs of the business.

    The Maintenance Supervisor provides hands-on leadership and technical expertise to support the maintenance team and ensure reliable operation of all plant equipment. This role, located in Whitehall, Ohio is responsible for driving continuous improvement of production machinery, safeguarding facility assets, and supporting the achievement of plant performance goals with a strong emphasis on safety. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures full compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, including EPA, GMP, OSHA, NFPA, FDA, SQF, and other governing requirements.
     Primary Responsibilities Lead maintenance team in all areas of personnel safety with regards to all OSHA and NFPA regulations.Participate in activities regarding team member recruitment, training, professional development, and performance utilizing the department skills assessment.Manage time and attendance of technician staff to ensure proper coverage for production support.Prioritize maintenance activities by giving direction and support to maintenance technicians on preventative and emergent work on production equipment.Utilize CMMS maintenance system by scheduling Preventative maintenance and emergent work identifying potential solutions to improving equipment reliability.Track all machine downtime, delegate and prioritize tasks, maintain inventory of spares parts via proper transactions for use.Assist Operations management to achieve P&L goals, safety standards, performance goals, and customer service standards.Collaborates with CI and process engineering on capital projects (design and implementation, budget preparation) and process improvement projects.Responsible for facility maintenance: HVAC, electrical distribution, etc.Performs other job-related projects, duties and assignments as directed.Other duties may be assigned due to business needs or special circumstances as communicated.Interface with vendors and contractors providing services to the facility to ensure company needs are met.Quality AssuranceLead maintenance staff in all areas of food safety regarding GMP’s HACCP and sanitation.

    Education and/or Experience:H.S. diploma required. 3+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food processing and consumer packaged goods industriesDegree or certifications in a maintenance related field preferred  Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA requirements.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and sit, stand, bend and stoop according to job needs. Ability to operate a sit down forklift and scissor lift.Demonstrated understanding of food safety practices in a manufacturing environment preferred.Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.

    · Utilize PLEX and mobile scanners to accurately maintain inventory and complete orders

    · Knowledge and implementation of SQF, GMP’s, SOP’s, and HACCP, and other food process sanitation requirements

    · Supervise the activities, productivity and accuracy of all shipping clerks

    · Coordinate daily shipments for pick-up and delivery utilizing Appointment Plus software

    · Establish and coordinate schedule with carrier

    · Ensure products are pulled and prepared for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.

    · Create freight POs for carriers

    · Maintain records of inventory at offsite storage warehouse

    · Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

    · Ensure proper location scanning of all products in the freezer to maximize efficiency, ensure proper control of inventory and eliminate inventory adjustments

    · Provide outstanding customer service to our partners

    · Track all in bound and out bound shipments for on-time delivery

    · Report and quantity or quality variances to Shipping Manager.

    · Ensure full rotation of products to insure first in, first out
