    Summary

    Responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems. This role ensures systems operate properly and comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. The technician works independently in the field, providing high-quality service while maintaining strong customer relationships.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on fire alarm and life safety systems in accordance with NFPA standards and applicable local codes.Diagnose system issues, identify malfunctions, and complete timely and accurate repairs.Program, configure, and verify fire alarm control panels and related devices.
    Complete detailed service reports, inspection documentation, and compliance forms.Maintain accurate records of system work, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
    Communicate effectively with customers regarding system status, required repairs, and code compliance.Coordinate with project managers, service coordinators, and inspectors as needed.
    Ensure company tools, test equipment, and service vehicles are properly maintained.Follow all safety policies, procedures, and job site regulations.Stay current with industry codes, technologies, and certification requirements.Participate in on-call rotation and emergency service response.

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred; minimum of 1–3 years of experience servicing fire alarm or life safety systems preferred; NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred or required based on state; strong working knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire codes.

    Computer Skills

    Microsoft Office applications; proficiency with fire alarm panels, devices, and testing equipment; ability to use mobile service software, smartphones, and basic computer applications; familiarity with system manufacturers such as Notifier or equivalent preferred.

    Physical Demands

    Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces; ability to work at heights and in occupied buildings; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; field-based role at commercial, industrial, and multi-family properties; exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and electrical environments; On-call rotation and occasional overtime may be required.

    Oversee all aspects of fire sprinkler system installation on one or multiple job sites.Supervise and manage foremen, fitters, helpers, technicians, and subcontractors.Coordinate manpower, material deliveries, and equipment needs to meet project schedules.Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and project specifications.Conduct regular job site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.Serve as primary field contact for project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.Mentor and develop field personnel, including foremen and assistant superintendents.Support commissioning, testing, and inspections of fire sprinkler systems.Resolve field issues, change orders, and coordination challenges with other trades.Enforce OSHA and company safety policies consistently.


    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent required, technical or trade education preferred, and 10+ years of fire sprinkler installation experience and 3+ years in a foreman or assistant superintendent role; NICET Level III or IV in Fire Protection preferred. Advanced knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, installation methods, and NFPA standards; ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules; experience coordinating multiple trades and managing complex job sites.

    Computer Skills

    Microsoft Office applications.

    Physical Demands

    Ability to walk, climb ladders, and access active construction sites; ability to work in confined spaces and at heights; required to sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms, and/or climb a ladder, talk, hear and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

    Summary

    Responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping and piping systems, fixtures, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Installation of pipe fittings, hangers, couplings, and sprinklers per design plan and codes to properly protect building.Completion of all required weekly paperwork for CFP and as directed by the General Contractor for the job to which crew is assigned.Communicating with designer before making any design changes.Communicates with designer regarding any material shortages.Producing red-line drawings to turn in to designer.Communicating project and schedule changes to Field Superintendent and Project Manager.Attending project and coordination meetings as required.Completion and submission of daily progress reports to Field Superintendent and General Contactor as required.Documenting and reporting water damage, injuries, and/or accidents to Field Superintendent and General Manager immediately when an incident occurs.Train Fitters and Helpers on proper installation techniques.

     

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 years related experience and/or training.

     

    Computer Skills

    Basic computer skills, email.

     

     

    Other Requirements:

    Pre-employment drug screen, Clean MVR required; overtime may be required.

    Education and/or Experience

    Summary

    Responsible for testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems, looking for deficiencies, troubleshooting existing conditions, reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals consistent with experience level, ability to write detailed reports regarding inspection deficiencies.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventative maintenance water-based systems and/or sprinkler systems.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and fire codes.Perform system tests for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.Complete service documentation detailing findings as needed.Able to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.Communicate with Service Manager and/or Inspections Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements and general status of job to ensure that the customer receives the work per proposed scope.


    Additional Requirements:

    Pre-employment drug screen, Clean MVR, overtime and weekends may be required.


    Education and/or Experience

    High School Diploma or GED; 2-3 years experience inspecting various types fire sprinkler systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing and installation; NICET II or III Certification, Backflow Certification preferred.


    Computer Skills

    Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

    Summary

    Responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping and piping systems, fixtures, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems.

    Installation of pipe fittings, hangers, couplings, and sprinklers per design plan and codes to properly protect building.Completion of all required weekly paperwork for CFP and as directed by the General Contractor for the job to which crew is assigned.Communicating with designer before making any design changes.Communicates with designer regarding any material shortages.Producing red-line drawings to turn in to designer.Communicating project and schedule changes to Field Superintendent and Project Manager.Attending project and coordination meetings as required.Completion and submission of daily progress reports to Field Superintendent and General Contactor as required.Documenting and reporting water damage, injuries, and/or accidents to Field Superintendent and General Manager immediately when an incident occurs.Train Fitters and Helpers on proper installation techniques.

     

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
