Responsible for inspecting incoming, in-process and final production parts to drawing specifications. They will be responsible for inspecting finished firearms from outside vendors and in-house to company standards. They will also be responsible for cross training to help where the Quality needs are.
Responsibilities
· Inspect and document findings for incoming, In-process and final inspection parts.
· Identifies and documents any mistakes or problems associated with the items being inspected.
· Maintains accurate records of all items inspected.
· Submits reports to the Quality Manager regarding quality and items inspected.
· Utilizes basic test equipment such as calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, CMM, Keyence, Rockwell Testers, and surface plate.
· Always stays on task with assigned duties.
· Adheres to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company.
· Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment as directed by the Company at all times.
· Maintains and keeps workstation and department area clean.
· Complete all required paperwork timely and accurately.
· Immediately report any maintenance and/or safety issues to supervisor

The individual will be responsible for working with our New Product Development (NPD) group as well as our Sustainment Engineering group to create programs for CNC Mills, Lathes, EDM, and other similar equipment to produce consistent precision components and assemblies. The position requires an individual who will be hands on and will use their technical ability, critical thinking skills, and leverage industry techniques to develop or modify fixtures to bring parts from raw material state (billet, castings, forgings, extrusions) to finished part.

Partner with Compliance to ensure manufacturing processes support ATF, ITAR, and applicable regulatory requirements. Support investigations involving product quality, customer returns, and regulatory inquiries. Ensure quality documentation meets internal, customer, and regulatory record retention requirements.Oversee the Company's calibration program for all inspection, test, and measurement equipment.Quality Strategy:
Utilize risk-based thinking throughout the QMS to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks.Develop long-term quality strategy aligned with business objectives. Evaluate risks and opportunities. Establish measurable quality objectives. Promote the use of SPC and statistical methods throughout manufacturing. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline. Minimum 8 years of progressive manufacturing quality leadership. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001.
