    Summary of Position Mission

    Responsible for First Article’s as well as inspecting incoming parts to drawing specification. They will oversee inspecting finished firearms from outside vendors and in house to company standards. They will also manage cross training to help where the Quality needs are for that time.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct First Article Inspection of machined parts, castings and injected molded parts.Help run and program our CMM using PC-DMIS.Follow an inspection checklist and document findings for incoming inspection of received parts.Inspects firearms manufactured, assembled, or repaired in the manufacturing area or by outside vendors.Demonstrates solid understanding of firearm manufacturing requirements.Demonstrates complete understanding of firearm safety.Finds and documents any mistakes or problems associated with the items being inspected.Maintains exact records of all items inspected.Submits reports to the Quality Manager about quality and items inspected.Completes all required paperwork promptly and accurately.Explains and points out problems found to assemblers in a tactful manner for assemblers to learn how to correct their problems in the future to minimize mistakes.Trains new employees in the QC process to teach them what to look for when assembling firearms.Utilizes basic test equipment such as calipers, Rockwell Testers, and surface plate.Reads and follows simple blueprints and drawings with some GD&T knowledge.Aids in setting up inspection criteria.Progressively improves upon and supports acceptable inspection numbers by Company standards.Always stays on task with assigned duties.Adheres to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company.Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times.Immediately reports any maintenance and/or safety issues to supervisor.Demonstrates a cheerful outlook toward co-workers, other departments and the Company.Maintains respect, courtesy and professionalism towards all co-workers and the Company.Actively take part and support the 5S process within the work area daily.Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.Support and adhere to all ISO standards applicable to the Company.Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and management.Other duties will be assigned as needed.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Brand Strategy & Positioning

    Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategy aligned with company vision, product roadmap, and long-term growth objectives.Maintain brand positioning, value propositions, tone, and visual identity across all product lines and customer segments.Serve as internal brand steward, ensuring consistent messaging and visual standards across all business units and channels.

    Product Marketing & Go-to-Market

    Oversee development of marketing materials including catalogs, brochures, website content, trade show assets, videos, advertising, and dealer collateral.Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, dealer networks, distributors, and industry events.Manage content strategy, storytelling, and brand narratives that reinforce reliability, performance, safety, and craftsmanship.

    Dealer, Distributor & Channel Support

    Develop branded sales tools and enablement materials to support dealer and distributor networks.Partner with Sales leadership to ensure alignment between brand strategy and field execution.Support channel-specific marketing programs and co-op initiatives.

    Compliance, Regulatory & Reputation Management

    Ensure all branding, advertising, product claims, and promotional materials comply with ATF, ITAR, export control, state regulations, and industry standards.Partner closely with Legal and Compliance to review and approve all external communications.Protect brand reputation through disciplined messaging, crisis communications support, and proactive brand risk management.

    Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

    Additional Duties

    Education & Professional Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.5+ years of progressive experience in brand management, product marketing, or strategic marketing.Experience in manufacturing, durable goods, defense, firearms, outdoor, or highly regulated industries strongly preferred.Proven success managing product launches, multi-channel campaigns, and brand positioning initiatives.Strong understanding of brand strategy, storytelling, and visual identity systems.Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Compliance teams.

    Job DescriptionJob Description

    Responsible for product portfolio creation, management, leadership, and planning, for assigned product segments/brands. The Director of Product Management reports directly to the Vice President, Operations. This role sets the strategy for product development, defines the requirements for assigned products or product lines, as well as maintains strict adherence to the new product policy. This position serves as the central hub within the company providing critical information on products, markets, competitors, customers, prospects, key industry analysis, and many other constituencies.

    Responsibilities

    Market Research

    Analyze market conditions, competitive landscape, and other relevant factors to develop business cases for new products based on input and data gathered which support roadmap decisions Partner with the Sales and Marketing team to identify market trends and conditions, price point and volumeInteract with International Business Development Manager to conduct market research and establish timelines for imported productLead product and market analysis on new and existing products and provide inputs and feedback to help guide product development efforts and maintain the Company’s product roadmapsResearch competitors in the marketplace including the review of competitive pricing and work with Sales to develop pricing strategies

    Product Strategy

    Own the product roadmap forecasts and products’ performance once they reach the marketSet the long-term vision and strategy for assigned product segments/brands and communicate this strategy to all of the relevant participants and stakeholdersEstablish and have oversight of product decision making hierarchy and strategy for all new opportunitiesEstablish company objectives by brand/product category regarding new products added to product offering and maintain strict adherence to the said objectivesEstablish committees comprised of internal product experts to meet and review the overall plan and qualified opportunities for each brand/segmentManage aforementioned committee meetings as necessaryDevelop domestic production timelines and oversee the creation of the products. Manage the product roadmap and implement business plans for each product segment to deliver profitable results and achieve cost, quality, delivery, and revenue targetsLead cross-functional teams comprised of members from Sales and Marketing, and other Departments as deemed necessary etc. in the development of new products, providing project guidance and leadership to ensure products meet the defined product requirements and launch objectivesSet requirements for existing and new products and services targeted to the market space that have been selected for Century participation and communicate to the team for implementation.Manage the complete life cycle of new and existing productsProvide guidance to Marketing for the creation of product collateralBe the technical advisor on Century’s product line during sales training or marketing eventsDevelop and maintain communication channels with Sales and Marketing and New Product Development

    Inventory Review and Forecasting

    Manage all non-key suppliers in maintaining appropriate inventory levels within Century and at distribution, and recommend sales/marketing promotions or inventory reduction strategies as necessaryResponsible for monitoring timely shipments of products to customersResponsible for spare part inventory as needed for the products this role oversees and the timely shipment to customersProvide Sales estimations and analytics of expected products’ performance once they reach the market

    Additional Responsibilities

    Recommend and execute changes in existing programsSupport Government Sales requests for firearms with delivery dates by quote and adhere to quoted delivery datesResearch projects as requiredAttend trade shows and events as necessaryProtect organization's value by keeping information confidentialSupport and adhere to all ISO standards applicable to the CompanyWear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times.Demonstrate complete working knowledge of firearms safety.Maintain and keep workstation and department area clean.Immediately report any maintenance and/or safety issues to Management.Demonstrate a positive attitude toward co-workers, other department and the Company.Maintain respect, courtesy and professionalism toward all co-workers and the CompanyCommunicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and managementActively participate and support the 5S process within the work area on a daily basisOther duties will be assigned as required

    Qualifications & Knowledge Required

    Bachelor’s degree in a technical or marketing field or equivalent experience required10 years’ product management experience required Firearms knowledge requiredMinimum of five years’ experience as product manager at firearms companyMinimum of five years’ experience in a business-to-business environmentMBA preferred but not required Record of accomplishment using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.Able to define and execute sales support material including presentation material and sell sheetsStrong written and analytical skillsStrong computer skills required, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Database Management skills a plus and Graphics and Desktop Publishing a bonus.Price analysis, product line forecasting, and product costing from product inception to the end-user.Excellent research skillsStrong negotiation skills

    Working Conditions

    Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment and throughout a heated manufacturing and warehouse facility. Exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of light manufacturing, shipping and receiving, and normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.
