  We're looking for a motivated Tech Assistant to join our team and help keep operations running smoothly. This role is a great entry point for someone with basic mechanical skills who wants to grow into a full technician position.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Wash & Clean equipment to maintain a professional, ready-touse appearanceAssist with equipment preparation and basic inspectionsOrganize the yard and maintain a safe, efficient workspaceHelp customers load equipment and ensure proper handlingsupport technicians with general shop tasksRun part going to the part house or to someone out in the field

  Job Summary
  
  We are looking for a reliable, skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our shop full-time. In this role, you will diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of light-to-medium industrial and agricultural equipment—with a primary focus on forklifts, compact/utility tractors, and zero-turn lawn mowers.
  
  Key Responsibilities
  
  Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspection, and servicing on forklifts, tractors, zero-turn mowers, and related equipment.
  
  Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and fuel system issues (gas, diesel, and propane).
  
  Perform engine, transmission, hydraulic system, and drive-train repairs.
  
  Maintain clean and accurate service records for work performed.
  
  Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized.
  
  Qualifications & Requirements
  
  Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional hands-on mechanic experience required.
  
  Diagnostics: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities preferred.
  
  Tools: Must own a complete set of personal hand/power tools appropriate for equipment repair (specialty/heavy shop tools provided).
  
  Driver’s License: Must hold a valid Oregon Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  
  Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-player attitude.

  Central Oregon Forklift & Equipment is looking to find a mechanic to come join our team.

  We are looking for a mechanic with at least two years experience with professional references. Have a great work attitude, keep a clean work environment. be a good self starter. Diagnostic experience preferred, but not required. Dealing daily with material handling and agriculture farm equipment. Experience with Diesel, gasoline as well as propane fuel delivery systems.

  Requirements

  Valid Oregon Drivers LicenseAbility to work Full Time 40 Hrs./WeekHave own Tools2 years mechanical experience

  -Pay dependent upon experience.
