Job Summary:
As a Utility Locate Technician Level 1, you will be responsible for the accurate, safe, and efficient locating and marking of underground utilities. This role plays a critical part in preventing damage to infrastructure and ensuring the safety of excavation and construction activities. You will be expected to maintain a high standard of quality and precision so that clients and contractors can operate with full confidence in the location of underground utility lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform field work to locate and mark underground utilities using specialized equipmentEnsure all locates are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with company and industry standardsRead and interpret utility maps, drawings, and work ordersCommunicate clearly with contractors, clients, and team members regarding utility locationsMaintain detailed and accurate records of completed workAdhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working in various environmentsTraining and Development:
You will receive comprehensive training from Central Florida Locating, Inc., including hands-on instruction in the use of the latest utility locating technology and equipment. Ongoing support will be provided to ensure continued skill development and job proficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsGood communication and problem-solving skillsClean driving record and a valid driver’s licenseAbility to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screeningWork Environment:
