Receptionist / Billing Assistant A prominent Fertility Clinic on the UES is looking for a receptionist to join our team. A strong candidate will have a solid work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and an empathetic nature given the sensitive field we work in. Responsibilities Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in, and obtain insurance information. Provide patients with intake forms, copies of office policies, and assist with general inquiries. Manage administrative tasks, including drafting official correspondence and overseeing/scheduling patient appointments. Answer phones, take messages, and provide follow-up communication for patients, pharmacies, and other providers. Support billing operations by: Collecting and verifying insurance information at check-in. Entering and updating billing information in the system. Assisting with processing payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances. Coordinating with the billing department to resolve patient billing questions. Ensuring accuracy of patient financial records and insurance submissions. Familiarity with billing statements and billing codes Salary Range $22 – $27/hour, based on experience Requirements 2+ years of experience in the medical field (preferred) 2+ years of prior customer service experience Basic Medical billing experience is a plus Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Ability to work on alternating weekends Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Work Location One location on the Upper East Side
