    Job Summary

    Responsible for safely driving a tractor trailer combination vehicle in and around the city, state, job sites and company property; and for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of product.

    Job Responsibilities

    Safely drive truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads Check loads to ensure product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure delivery to the correct customer and job site Strive to meet customer expectations without exception and achieve highly positive customer satisfaction survey results consistent with strategic objectives Develop extensive working relationships with customers, both external and internal, in order to maximize opportunities for CEMEX and to ensure customer needs are addressed Keep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies Maintain personal appearance in neat and clean manner. Maintain contact with supervisor/dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions Assist other company employees as needed Complete pre and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water 15 minute Start-Up 25 minutes Shut-Down May perform roadside repairs, such as installing light bulbs, etc. Maintain good working knowledge of the traffic routes of the city Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and management Cooperate and promote a team concept between himself and all other company employees, as well as all CEMEX's customers Adhere to all CEMEX, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations at all times Meet or exceed company safety standards Perform other job responsibilities as assigned
    Qualifications

    Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A) Must have a minimum of 1-year experience as a CDL Driver MVR - No DUI's or DWI's in the last 5 years Acceptable CSA score - no more than 3 moving violations in the previous 7 years
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Be able to read, write, and speak English High school diploma/ GED preferred Bilingual a plus Able to use a variety of technology

    Job Summary

    The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the commercial and contractual strategy on the negotiation of goods and services for CEMEX's manufacturing operation in the United States.

    Job Responsibilities

    Negotiate contracts and agreements. Develop strategies for goods and services based on an understanding of market knowledge, business requirements and balance leveraging with competition Develops negotiating strategy with input from internal customers, acts as key commercial expert during negotiations, acts as primary contact for target suppliers. Negotiate legal and commercial terms to achieve optimal business results. Identify key contract risks and the associated mitigation strategies Build strong working relationships with internal customers to understand their requirements, drivers and timelines. Challenge operational procedures. Through the financial analysis and Total Cost of Ownership modeling process, research and/or identify ways to improve the pricing, quality, service and technology. Using collaborative creativity, bring new ideas to the table and challenge the current operational routines to identify opportunities to build positive impact changes within the organization Increase the overall value to the company. Through the use of financial analysis and TCO modeling, negotiate hard savings and/or benefits to lower the overall manufacturing cost to the organization. Create Key Performance Indicators to ensure supplier performance on value added benefits Take the lead in the implementation process. Follow the negotiations process through from "cradle to grave" including implementation to ensure that completed negotiations are fully utilized within the company and that maximum savings and benefits are realized. Leads the adoption and use of procurement technologies including e-sourcing tools Develop the negotiations plan. Work closely with Operations and Planning to develop and refine the negotiations strategy and plans of the region for the upcoming year. Review macroeconomic indicators to determine the prevailing market conditions and evaluate potential savings and benefits that could be available Manage relationships across all department lines. Professionally communicate and interact with all levels of management both inside and outside of Procurement. This will include the Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, Legal, Risk Management, Planning and Controllership departments Create strategic alliances with vendors. Develop and maintain long-term supply partnerships with the vendor base to work together and find different avenues for reducing the total cost Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds Meet or exceed company safety standards Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management; Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred 6 years industrial procurement experience related to supply chain strategy and national negotiations

    Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices including strategic sourcing, market analysis, contracting methodologies, risk analysis, principles of contract law and supplier performance management.     Job Summary

    ABOUT THE JOB

    We're looking for a responsible and skilled Ready-Mix Driver to join our team. The Ready-Mix Truck Driver's primary responsibility is to safely operate the concrete mixer, delivering loads to commercial and residential work sites. This role requires navigating a range of conditions, including uneven terrain, and may involve handling and attaching extension chutes weighing between thirty to fifty pounds.

    WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

    As a Ready-Mix Driver at Cemex, your daily responsibilities will include:
    Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all regulations and promote a safe working environment. Delivery & Timing: Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites. Discharge Management: Adapt discharge methods to various site settings and conditions. Extension Chute Handling: Attach and manage extension chutes as necessary for precise concrete pouring. Truck Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck. Customer Service: Provide outstanding service, maintaining a professional image for the company. Team Coordination: Work closely with dispatch and other team members for efficient operations.
    Qualifications

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    To succeed in this role, you should bring:
    Educational and Licensing Requirements: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B). High School diploma preferred. Driver must qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. Skills: Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Acceptable CSA and MVR record; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to the construction and transportation industry. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and guidance from supervisors. Knowledge of traffic routes and basic maintenance skills for truck upkeep (desirable).
