SUMMARY:
The hourly Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Susquenita School District is $17.00/hour.5 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date).The Special Education Paraprofessional will work 182 days following the academic calendar year.Special Education Paraprofessionals may support students in one or more of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Learning, and Life Skills Supports.OPENINGS FOR '26-'27 SCHOOL YEAR:

As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, behavioral, social, and personal growth within the classroom and school environment. Responsibilities include:
Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical support to individual students or small groups, including on-task prompting, social skills development, and self-care assistance.Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans by implementing accommodations and strategies as directed.Reinforce learning concepts, classroom instruction, and skill development to help students achieve their educational goals.Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted academic and behavioral support.Assist students in developing organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent living skills.Guide students through classroom activities, monitor participation and progress, and provide feedback to instructional staff.Promote positive student behavior and help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and school administrators to support student success.Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, transitions, and other non-instructional school activities.Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth.WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE:

Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma required - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB.Two years post secondary education, or higher, preferred.Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred.CREDENTIALING:
