    We are seeking a Permit Supervisor to establish and define the duties, responsibilities, authority, accountability and reporting relationships for the Project Supervisor at CCI Systems, Inc. The responsibility of this position is to provide directions to Make Ready Analysts and Permitting Coordinators if need be and support prioritization of tasks.  

    Responsibilities

    • Assign and monitor work for their teams. 
    • Maintain SLAs across multiple projects/clients through reporting and coordination with their direct reports. 
    • Meet regularly with key stakeholders (internal and external). 
    • Provide key details of project statuses to leadership and clients as needed. 
    • Provide feedback to leadership to be proactive about project success. 
    • Understand and follow CCI processes and permitting processes. 
    • Strive for customer satisfaction. 
    • Consistent high-quality work being sent to the customer within SLA. 
    • Oversee and approve invoices. 
    • Effective communication skills across different audience groups.
    • Have technical skills that apply to the permitting field.  
    • Field/construction background,
    • Promote company image through business practices and embodying CCI's habits and values. 

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in engineering design or related field 
    • Analytical and observational skills, which demonstrate ability to, plan projects, review/recommend technical specifications, coordinate staffing needs, communicate, and manage all aspects of a project.   
    • Must be willing to learn new product lines and technologies to serve the departmental needs and goals.   
    • Must be able to handle employee issues effectively and in a timely manner. 
    • Ability to provide strong leadership through coaching and mentoring with a focus on customer service. 
    • Ability to motivate employees in a challenging and dynamic business environment. 
    • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal. 
    • Knowledge of human-computer interaction principles (K0036) 
    • Knowledge of information technology (IT) acquisition/procurement requirements and life cycle process.
    • Strong behavioral and high emotional intelligence.  
    • Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as Internet. 
    • Well-organized with an ability to work confidently in a high-pressure/high-energy environment. 
    • Ability to take initiative, make decisions and handle various tasks simultaneously while working efficiently, effectively, and independently under minimal supervision. 

    Shift is full-time Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST.  Must be flexible and willing to work outside normal business hours as necessary.

    Additional Information

    • Approximately 25% travel may be required.

    We are seeking Field Walkout Engineers who will perform walkouts for an entire town and/or subdivision to create field notes for new or existing (as-built) cable plants following specifications provided by customer.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform new build walkout or as-built mapping.

    • Follow guidelines to provide detailed accurate route of existing or new build plant.

    • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.

    • Obtain the correct field information, record verification, document all details for aerial and underground telecommunications including fiber, coax, poles, pedestals, and more.

    Skills we are looking for

    • 2+ years of cable mapping experience within the CATV industry is required.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of the fielding process with hands on experience in CATV asbuilt and new build walkouts.

    • Knowledge of cable design and basic OSP construction practices of cable systems.

    • Permitting experience in telecommunications such as: right of way (ROW), pole, railroad, and government agency permitting is preferred.

    • Able to read and interpret maps, drawings, and diagrams associated with CATV projects.

    • Ability to accurately update As-Built field prints with equipment & information obtained from the field walkout.

    • Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, & PDF Editor with the ability to learn new software and technologies.

    • Ability to draw digitally in software programs like Bluebeam is preferred.

    • Must be highly responsible and self-motivated.

    • Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills.

    • Able to work independently within minimal supervision.

    • Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner.

    Additional Information

    • This is a full-time, production-based position.

    • Must be willing to travel 100% nationwide.

    • Perform field walkout assignments daily over varying terrain and in all weather conditions.

    • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

    • Company vehicle and necessary tools will be provided.

    • Hotel expenses covered.

    We are seeking Fiber Splicers who hold a crucial position in guaranteeing prompt delivery and excellence in Telecommunications services for our clientele. Responsibilities include deciphering schematics and diagrams to splice, terminate, and test fiber-optic connections for both new constructions and service setups. Additionally, the role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, and rectification of damaged cables and associated concerns within the outside plant network.

    Responsibilities

    • Splice and maintain new and existing fiber.
    • Prep and splice single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) optical fiber cables ranging from single to ribbon and loose tube.
    • Splice and repair fiber optic cables using single and mass fusion equipment. 
    • Terminate fiber using various connectors or pig tails.
    • Test fiber using OTDR, OLTS, Power Meters, and VFL.
    • Install required splice capsules and hardware. 
    • Perform mid-sheath cable entries along with the ability to splice fibers in an active network.
    • Maintain existing plant without causing signal failure interruptions. 
    • Respond to network outages and perform required troubleshooting and repairs.
    • Keep up-to-date records of project progress, including production sheets, time sheets, and necessary customer documentation.
    • Maintain splice equipment, trailers, and vehicles. 
    • Complete certification testing of fiber optic systems. 
    • Experienced in understanding and adhering to safety including those outlined by OSHA, NESC, NEC, and other pertinent standards.
    • Maintain knowledge of all organizational policies and governmental regulations.
    • Maintain a safe work environment by following CCI’s policies and procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of fiber optic theory which includes fiber loss connector types and the different types of fibers preferred.
    • Experience with both ribbon fiber and loose tube with combination in deribbonizing and ribbonizing preferred.
    • Ability to test fiber using OTDR, OLTS, Power Meters, and VFL preferred.
    • Ability to use single and mass fusion splicing machines preferred.
    • Ability to differentiate between different fiber sizes and colors preferred.
    • Ability to read splicing matrix, splice, and test fiber in various environments like FTTH, underground, and aerial preferred.
    • Ability to place aerial and underground splice closures along with other closures common to the splicing and termination of fiber-optic cables preferred.
    • Capable of efficiently accomplishing the allocated workload within the specified timeframe while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
    • Proficient in prioritizing tasks and adapting schedules to accommodate evolving requirements.
    • Ability to detect safety issues and work independently.
    • Record and document testing per customer specifications.
    • Complete daily production reports to document work performed.
    • Good communication and organizational skills. 
    • Proficient with MS Office and various web-based software.
    • Self-starter and dependable with great attention to detail. 

    Time requirement

    • Must be willing to travel up to 100%; may include overnight stays on a weekly basis dependent on candidate location and region. If further travel is required, this could consist of 10 days on and 4-5 days off.
    • Maintenance of customer networks may entail working outside regular business hours, including evening and overnight shifts.
    • Candidates may eventually be required to be on call on a rotational basis which may include nights and weekends.

    General information

    • Must have a valid driver’s license acceptable driving record.
    • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
    • Piece rate after initial training has been completed and able to work independently.
    • Must provide own hand tools to satisfactorily complete all job functions. Specialty tools will be provided.
    • Willing to work indoors in confined space, poorly ventilated areas such as attics, basements, crawlspaces, and/or manholes. Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, rodents, pets, and cleaning solutions.
    • Able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.  
    • Ability to work up to 50’ in a bucket truck, ladder, and/or climb utility poles.
    • Mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools and equipment to help complete an assigned project.
    • Maintain a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers.
    • Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance.
