    Job Description: The Traffic Supervisor role is to provide excellent customer service to all accounts related to warehousing along with overseeing the inbound/outbound shipments and yard control. Expected to take initiative, think, and act in the spirit of continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities:

    Overseewarehouse traffic team members.Revise and follow SOP for accounts related to traffic department.Oversee the operation between warehouse, traffic, and drivers daily to ensure cargo is loaded/unloaded/transferred as planned.Ensure all datais entered accordingly in the appointment system.Coordinates with all departments related to the operation to ensure proper workflow, shipment prioritization and volume availability.Oversee yard control equipment and control of chassis and demurrages.Generate daily reports.Oversee that best practices and processes for warehouse customer service and traffic coordinator are followed.Oversee the daily forecast information and updates.Generate weekly drayage and chassis report for billing purposes. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    One (1) year of experience handling traffic, documentation, and customer service functions for ocean transportationHigh School diploma or equivalent.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (required) and Spanish (preferred but notrequired).Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detailBasic skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.Ability to effectively communicate (read and write) in a business environment.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to exercise sound judgment in prioritizing projects delegated by supervisor.Ability to multi-task, manage and follow through on multiple projects, prioritize duties, and handle a high-volume work load. Inspect items for damage, defects, or inconsistencies and report any issues to the appropriate department. Ensure all cargo is scanned accurately once placed in the staging area. Checker Responsibilities:The checkers will be responsible for live validation of both consolidated and cross-dock shipments.They will take photos of the loading process to document each stage and ensure accuracy.Checkers will ensure that employees complete all necessary documentation, maintaining compliance with operational standards. Quality Control:Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure all loads are accurate and free of errors.
