Our High Net Worth practice is one of the largest practices in New England, servicing clients both locally and nationally. Our client base is made up of many multi-generation family clients that make use of some the most sophisticated tax planning structures to minimize income, gift and estate taxes, along with charitable planning. Many of our HNW clients maintain their own multi-employee Family Office to manage the Family wealth. This practice also works with some of the largest investment advisory firms and estate and trust law Firms, both locally and nationally. It is our goal to develop strong relationships with our clients, as a trusted advisor.
Essential Functions And Primary Duties
Client ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for high net worth clients.Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their financial goals and objectives.Provide personalized tax planning and advisory services tailored to the unique needs of each client.Tax Planning and StrategyDevelop and implement comprehensive tax strategies for high net worth individuals and families.Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize tax efficiency.Advise clients on wealth preservation, estate planning, and other tax-related matters.Team LeadershipManage and lead a team of tax professionals, including tax managers, senior tax consultants, and other staff.Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.Oversee the workflow and ensure timely and accurate delivery of tax services.ComplianceEnsure that tax returns, including Personal, fiduciary, foundation, gift and estate as well as related documents are prepared accurately and filed on time.Navigate the complexities of each of their individual tax strategies, challenges and provide solutions.Review complex tax returns and financial statements.Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information for tax compliance.Business DevelopmentIdentify opportunities to expand the firm's high net worth tax practice.Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client presentations.Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies.Risk ManagementAssess and mitigate potential risks associated with tax planning and compliance.Implement internal controls and best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or other relevant certifications preferred.Extensive experience in tax planning and compliance, with a focus on high net worth individuals.Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage and develop a team.Exceptional communication and presentation skills.Business development and client relationship management experience.
Minimum Qualifications Required

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $160,000-$300,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Supervise and help drive the success of multiple engagements in all facets of taxation.
Perform initial review of complex tax returns for high net-worth individual, corporate and partnership / LLC clients.
Interact closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting and compliance services in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing expectations, meeting deadlines and proactively sharing tax saving strategies.
Work closely with Partners, and all professional staff on client management, professional development and business development activities.
Supervise, develop, train and mentor staff including performance and engagement reviews.
Attend professional development and continuing education sessions on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
CPA certification
Ability to work in the office at least 3 days per week.
Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.
Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically.
Outstanding leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships.
Ability to attract and develop profitable, sustainable client relationships.
Qualifications Required
8 years’ experience in public accounting or related field
6 years’ supervisory experience
Must have and preserve required licenses
Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally

We are seeking a candidate with Big 4 (or equivalent) public accounting audit / assurance experience to join and help lead our rapidly growing New England Portfolio Company practice. This high-growth practice requires a candidate to demonstrate in-depth technical audit and accounting expertise (including complex debt/equity, revenue, consolidation, business combinations) combined with a strong passion for relationship and people development, all while providing best-in-class client service.
The role is at the senior manager level, with a clear track to progression to the director level and ultimately to the managing director and shareholder (“partner”) level at CBIZ.
Essential Functions And Primary Duties
Results oriented mindset focused on meeting all client timelinesDesire to build a team focused on audits of private equity and venture capital portfolio companies.Readiness to travel with audit teams as needed based on geographic locations of portfolio companiesDevelop and maintain strong client/investment company owner relationshipsAbility to collaborate with other service lines, including with our tax private equity co-sourcing group, advisory and investment company assurance practices, to develop a go to market strategy targeting portfolio company audits.Must be well versed in understanding private equity and venture capital investment life cycle, including the potential public and private exits of such fund investments.Leverage existing investment company relationships of audit, tax and advisory groups.Supported by local assurance resources and national subject matter experts.

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $140,000 - $210,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.

We are seeking candidates with Global Information Reporting (GIR) experience who are interested in joining a fast-growing team providing tax co-sourcing/outsourcing services to global Private Equity Funds. Team members are responsible for consulting with the client as if they were their in-house tax department. The opportunity will include working with CBIZ team members, as well as client personnel, virtually and/or at the client location.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
As a Managing Director within the Global Information Reporting Services practice you will be part of a diverse team abound with opportunity to grow into a financial industry leader in the area of international tax transparency, transforming Private Equity processes
Successfully develop, nurture and manage client relationships by consistently providing clients timely and appropriate communication and services in relation to their needs
Be viewed as trusted personal and business advisor by clients
Provide advisory services to financial institutions regarding FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3 (1042 & 8804 reporting and withholding) and Withholding Foreign Partnerships
Direct multiple engagements which include consulting, compliance, and tax planning services
Consult with client service team to design, communicate and implement innovative planning ideas for clients
Guide and manage IRS and state audits
Participate and actively contribute to new business development activities, including prospecting, networking and representing CBIZ at industry and related events
Design and deliver technical training on Individual related tax topics
Recruit, supervise, train, develop and motivate less experienced team members
Promote a team environment; demonstrate support of management decisions and builds a positive culture.
Contribute to management of internal tax department through committee membership and group leader responsibilities
Perform other responsibilities as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Comprehensive tax planning and consulting experience and demonstrated expertise in FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, WHFPs, QIs, 871m or other withholding and reporting regimes
Market leading technical expertise of 1042, 8804, FATCA & CRS returns, and tax form validation (W-8, W-9 or CRS Self-Certifications)
Demonstrated success providing consultative service to global financial services companies with banking and brokerage clients.
An ability to effectively present information and appropriately respond to questions from clients and team members
A track record of successful new business development experience
Excellent analytical, supervisory, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills necessary
Experience and continued interest in developing and mentoring junior team members
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM, accounting degree or MBA
Previous public accounting or law firm experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field
10 years' experience in public accounting or related field
10 years supervisory experience
Must have CPA or equivalent certification
Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
Proficient use of applicable technology
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels or organization, both internally and externally
Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $200,000 - $450,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skillset of the individual selected for this position.Outside of base compensation there are opportunities for – Commissions and/or Annual Bonuses (variable depending on firm and associate performance).
