    Position Overview:

    Job duties:

    Facility Startup Support: Lead the startup and commissioning of the new Aseptic ESL facility for Cayuga Milk Ingredients.Automation Design & Installation: Design and implement plant-wide automation systems, including PLCs and HMIs.System Monitoring & Maintenance: Oversee automated system performance, conduct regular maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.Documentation Management: Record all modifications to equipment and systems, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.Production Support: Respond to production issues promptly and provide technical support to resolve operational problems.MES/BMS Coordination: Assist with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Building Management System (BMS) activities and coordination.SOP Development: Aid in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for department processes.Automation Solutions Implementation: Introduce automation solutions to optimize operations and minimize manual intervention.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, supply chain, and accounting teams to integrate automation systems.Technical Documentation: Develop design specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides for automated solutions.Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all environmental, GMP, HAACP, and OSHA regulations, ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining PPE standards.Technical Competency: Ensure processing equipment functions per SOPs and verify operational accuracy.Communication & Relationship Building: Communicate effectively, establishing strong working relationships across departments and providing clear, detailed reports to senior management.Independence & Task Management: Execute assigned projects independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

    Job Requirements:

    Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Engineering, or Computer Science and 3 years of relevant PLC programming experience. Experience must include:

    Industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, and ControlNet). Read and modify Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs). PID loop tuning and VFD setup experience (Allen-Bradley PowerFlex, Danfoss, and Eaton).Digital and analog measurements (temperature, pressure, ?ow, speed, and weight) and discrete sensors.

    Physical Requirements:

    · Ability to navigate all areas of the facility, including office spaces, warehouse areas, and the exterior perimeter.

    · Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary to safely perform job duties.

    Position Overview:

    The Shift Supervisor is a key operational leader responsible for overseeing all manufacturing activities during an assigned shift in a 24/7 food manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant production while leading and developing hourly team members. The Shift Supervisor drives daily execution by coordinating people, processes, and equipment to deliver high-quality products, meet production goals, and uphold company standards for safety, quality, and continuous improvement at the Cayuga Milk Ingredients facility.

    The Shift Supervisor serves as the primary point of leadership on their shift, maintaining a strong floor presence, resolving issues in real time, and escalating concerns as appropriate to the Production Manager.


    Key Responsibilities

    Shift Operations & Execution

    Lead and oversee all manufacturing operations during the assigned shift, including raw milk receiving, batching/processing, packaging, warehousing, utilities, sanitation (CIP), and support functions.Execute daily production schedules to meet safety, quality, cost, and efficiency targets.Ensure effective CIP changeover and turnaround times from product stop to product start.Monitor labor utilization, equipment performance, and material flow to minimize downtime and waste.Act as the owner of shift execution, ensuring the right people, processes, and materials are in place to deliver safe, quality food efficiently.

    Team Leadership & Development

    Qualifications

    Position Overview:

    The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the production plan for dairy processing and packaging operations to ensure efficient utilization of raw milk, ingredients, labor, and processing capacity while meeting customer demand and regulatory requirements.

    Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Operations, this role supports forecasting, milk balancing, and production scheduling across processing, packaging, laboratory, and warehouse functions ensures that raw milk supply is converted into finished dairy products in a manner that maximizes yield, minimizes product loss, and maintains compliance with food safety, quality, and traceability requirements under the SQF Food Safety Management System.

    The role requires strong coordination across departments to align milk supply, ingredient availability, packaging materials, storage capacity, and code-date limitations with customer commitments.


    Key Responsibilities

    Production Planning & Scheduling

    Maintain the Master Production Plan for dairy processing and packaging operations based on demand forecasts, raw milk supply, processing capacity, and inventory levels.Generate and distribute daily and weekly production schedules to Processing, Packaging, Laboratory, Warehouse, and Blow Mold departments.Release production orders and manufacturing work orders through the ERP system to support execution of the production plan.Communicate schedule changes promptly to all affected departments to prevent production delays, material shortages, or excess inventory.

    Milk Balancing & Yield Management

    Plan production schedules to balance daily raw milk intake with finished product requirements, ensuring optimal utilization of available milk components.Coordinate processing plans to support efficient fat, protein, and solids utilization across product lines.Monitor production yields and identify opportunities to improve milk utilization and minimize product loss or shrink.Work with Processing, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure production runs support optimal yield recovery and product specifications.Align production plans with storage capacity and shelf-life/code-date constraints typical in fluid and cultured dairy products.

    Forecasting & Inventory Management

    Maintain forecasts for finished goods, raw milk requirements, ingredients, and packaging materials including bottles, caps, and labels.Continuously monitor demand forecasts and adjust production plans to maintain appropriate inventory levels.Review ERP system generated manufacturing orders for accuracy prior to release.Monitor on-hand inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available to support scheduled production.Support verification of inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation activities.

    ERP System & Production Control

    Utilize the ERP system to: Generate and manage production schedulesTrack inventory levels and material requirementsRelease, monitor, and close production ordersMaintain accurate production and planning recordsGenerate operational reports related to schedule adherence, inventory levels, and production planning performance.Support reporting that assists operations and finance with performance analysis and operational decision-making.

    Cross-Functional Coordination

    Food Safety, Quality & SQF Compliance

    The Production Planner plays an active role in supporting the facility’s SQF Food Safety and Quality Management System.

    Responsibilities include:

    Maintaining production planning processes that support full lot traceability of raw milk, ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products.Ensuring production schedules support proper product rotation and code-date management to minimize food safety risks.Maintaining accurate production records and documentation required for SQF compliance and audit verification.Supporting the Approved Supplier Program by coordinating material planning with approved vendors.Ensuring biosecurity, food defense, and food safety procedures are considered in production scheduling and material movement.Reporting food safety or quality concerns to personnel with authority to initiate corrective actions.Serving as backup for other Production Control personnel responsible for SQF documentation and planning records when required.

    Qualifications

    Position Summary

    The Wastewater Treatment/Utilities Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the Cayuga Milk Ingredients anaerobic wastewater treatment plant and lift stations. This role involves performing a variety of skilled technical duties, assisting maintenance staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


    Key Responsibilities

Common processing equipment, including but not limited to pumps, valves, metering systems, homogenizers, separators, heat exchangers, filling equipment, scales, PLC control panels, processing/standardizing equipment, HTST’s evaporators, RO’s, UF’s, dryers, conveying systems, chemical dispensing, material handling equipment and any other processing related equipment. In addition, personal computers with associated software and common office equipment are used.

    Judgment and decision-making skills: Must exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills to advise employees properly and understand both the financial and safety related impact of the decisions made.


    Hours: This is a full-time, hourly position. The schedule would be 12hr night shifts 6pm-6:30am with a rotating two week schedule of Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat and Sun/Wed/Thurs. The Industrial Maintenance Technicians may need to put in additional hours to accomplish the mission when necessary. Some domestic travel may be required.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications:

    • Basic understanding of chemical handling and cleaning procedures.

    • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.


    Working Conditions:

    •Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:

    o Temperature variations, high noise levels, wet conditions, and chemical vapors.
