    As the Long Term Ombudsman Program Advocate, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:

    • Directs supervision of Ombudsman volunteers within assigned geographic region

    • Responds to resident issues and concerns, as necessary including completing complaint activity and investigation

    • Participates in ongoing program of education and public awareness to address systematic problems and elder abuse as well as the program's need to recruit Ombudsman volunteers

    • Enters all required program reports/documentation into state database system in a timely basis


    Long Term Ombudsman Program Advocate Minimum Salary: $ 25.00/hour

    Long Term Ombudsman Program Advocate Maximum Salary: $ 26.32/hour

    Long Term Ombudsman Program Advocate: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30AM - 4:00PM (20 hours per week)


    Qualifications:

    Associate's Degree in Human Services, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in related field

    As a Family Support Specialist, you will:

    Bachelor's Degree in child and family studies, community mental health, counseling, education, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, recreation, recreation therapy, rehabilitation, social work, sociology, or speech and hearing; OR NYS licensure and current registration as a Registered Nurse and a bachelor’s degree; OR A Bachelor’s level education or higher in any field with five years of experience working directly with persons with behavioral health diagnoses; OR A Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)Preferred Licensed level clinician with prior experience in a behavioral health clinician or care management supervisory capacity; Working knowledge of the NYS Health Home Program.2 years (a Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year’s experience) either:Providing direct services to persons diagnosed with mental disabilities, developmental disabilities, alcoholism or substance abuse; OR Linking persons who have been diagnosed with mental disabilities, developmental disabilities, alcoholism or substance abuse to abroad range of services essential to successfully living in a community settingThis position requires a valid driver's license, proof of current car insurance, registration and access to a reliable, working vehicle
