JOB SUMMARY
Specialty Systems, Inc. has an opening for a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) with the below described skills and experience to join our team of technical professionals supporting advanced unmanned air systems. The Model-Based Systems Engineer supports system architecture development, modeling activities, and technical documentation for advanced unmanned air systems. The position provides hands-on experience applying model-based systems engineering principles in support of engineering teams working across multiple disciplines. This position works closely with experienced engineers and program stakeholders to ensure system designs are well-defined, integrated, and aligned with mission objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities using commercial MBSE toolsAssist in developing and maintaining system models using SysML, UML, or similar modeling languagesContribute to system and subsystem specifications and technical documentationSupport requirements development, traceability, and verification activitiesCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, cybersecurity, and logistics teamsParticipate in technical and design reviewsQUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics)Basic understanding of SysML, UML, or similar modeling languageThis role is located at NAS Patuxent River (PAX), MD and offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote each week.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearanceDesired Qualifications
