Position Summary: Responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws; training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supervision and coordination of Production and Packaging departments within the specified shift. Key Responsibilities: Directly supervise 20 - 50 employees in the production/packaging/repack departments. Maintain a safe work environment while producing a safe quality product. Report any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management. Maintain a high standard of quality for the products produced and adhere to company/customer specifications. Establish effective employee relations and initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve established departmental goals. Comply with product scheduling needs. Control hourly employee hours worked, including but not limited to overtime. Maintain an effectively trained workforce. Interpret company policies to workers. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of department, line, or team. Analyze production and packaging problems and assist team members in solving them. Maintain and monitor process control paperwork in accordance with HACCP. Ensure accurate paperwork. Responsible for maintaining a sanitary and safe work environment. Confers with other Supervisors and Leads to coordinate activities of individual departments. Abides by and enforces Standard Operating Procedures. Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety policies. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education
