    As a Robot Systems Software Engineer at Carbon Robotics you will work alongside your software, mechanical and electrical peers to build AI and robotics products. In particular, you will be involved in the design and implementations of robot side features and algorithms.

    You'll do whatever it takes - which might include going to the farm - to ensure our customers have reliable and safe products.

    What you'll do:

    Partner with Engineering teams to build efficient robotic software to support our revolutionary Laser Weeding robots and future products. Build and troubleshoot robot system software and develop tooling to support high performance robotics algorithms.What you'll build will help deliver state of the art AI performance to our robots by improving our machine learning pipelines and building associated features.Work with a fast pace nimble software team working on problems that have never been solved beforeDrive decision through project planning, task delegation and leading problem solving efforts to iterate quickly

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

    Experience as a System Software Engineer building on machine and in the cloud software with 5+ (2+ for Mid level ) years of programming in C++ and Python.Proficiency with modern Linux development environments (e.g. bash, git, docker, etc.)Proficiency with web services (REST/GRPC)Experience with robotic and computer vision algorithms is beneficialGeneral knowledge of observability tools (ex: Prometheus ecosystem) is a plusEffective verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in multidisciplinary teamsBS+ in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field

    As a Sr. Software Engineer, Embedded Systems at Carbon Robotics you will work alongside your software, mechanical and electrical peers to build AI and robotics products. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software systems for various electronic devices. You will work closely with hardware engineers and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components. You'll do whatever it takes - which might include going to the farm - to ensure our customers have reliable and safe products.

    What you'll do:

    Partner with Engineering teams to build firmware on embedded systems for LaserWeeding solution and future products. Develop and troubleshoot firmware running on various microcontroller platforms.Help design and establish the manufacturing and validation methods for PCBs and related sub-components. Investigate control problems at the lowest level and learn how to properly tune them.Drive decision through project planning, task delegation and leading problem solving efforts to reiterate quickly

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

    Worked as a Software Engineer with embedded systems in C for 5+ years.Solid experience with designing and implementing reliable, consistent, and fast motor control systems.Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, including microcontrollers, sensors, and communication interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C).Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.Proficiency in debugging tools, such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).Effective verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in multidisciplinary teamsBS+ in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fieldWilling to travel up to 25%

    As a Software Engineer, Full-stack at Carbon Robotics, you will work alongside your software, mechanical and electrical peers to build AI and robotics products.     As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer at Carbon Robotics you will work alongside your software, mechanical and electrical peers to build AI and robotics products.     Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

    5+ years experience as a Software Engineer building user centric mobile applications Deep experience with cross platform development using tools like Flutter or React NativeStrong knowledge of interacting with a backend service, APIs and publishing to App StoreEffective verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in multidisciplinary teamsBS+ in Computer Science or related field
