    Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

    As a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/Vet Tech), you’ll work closely with veterinarians, assistants, and team members to provide high-quality patient care and support hospital operations.

    Daily responsibilities include:

    Patient nursing care and restraint Veterinary technician support during exams and treatments Surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring Dental procedures and dental radiographs Blood draws, catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics Digital radiology (X-rays) Medication administration and vaccine support In-house laboratory testing Medical record documentation Client education and discharge instructions Pharmacy and treatment area support Maintaining OSHA and hospital safety standards Helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment

    What We’re Looking For

    Active New York State Veterinary Technician License (required) Strong technical and clinical skills Knowledge of veterinary pharmaceuticals and treatments Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Ability to multitask in a busy veterinary hospital environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable with veterinary software and computer systems preferred Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently

    Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Pay

    $22.00 – $28.00 per hour based on experience, technical skills, and qualifications

    Welcome clients and patients with professionalism and compassion Answer phones, emails, and client messages Schedule veterinary appointments accurately and efficiently Educate clients on hospital services, wellness care, and basic veterinary information Process invoices, payments, and client transactions Assist with prescription refill requests and client communication Support daily veterinary hospital front desk operations

    Veterinary Assistant & Patient Care Support

    Assist veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians with patient handling and restraint Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas Assist with hospitalized patient care and surgical patient monitoring Prepare laboratory samples and assist with diagnostics Administer medications and vaccines under veterinary supervision Support pharmacy, treatment, and patient workflow Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient veterinary hospital environment Assist with bathing, drying, and grooming support as needed

    What We’re Looking For

    1+ years of veterinary experience preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a busy veterinary hospital environment Positive attitude and strong teamwork mentality Compassionate and dependable work ethic Comfortable working with animals of all sizes Basic computer and veterinary software experience preferred Must be able to commute to or relocate to Canisteo, NY before starting

    Compensation & BenefitsPay

    $17.00 – $19.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
