    We are looking for a self-starter Production Administrator to join our team in Point of Rocks, MD.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Compiles and records production data and prepares records and reports on volume of production, consumption of raw material, labor hours, quality control, and other aspects of production.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

    Performs data entry functions. Opens and files bundle tags and other inventory coordination duties. Troubleshoots quantity discrepancies, reconciling substitutions and resolving inventory problems in a timely manner. Performs other routine clerical duties as required including the preparation of forms, spreadsheets and other documents. Creates production orders for roll-forming process and reconciles raw material use against finished goods output. Confirm bolt orders with tool crib and create license plates for shipping. Assists production supervision with requests and provide information as needed, including resolving issues related to inventory and scheduling. Compiles production data and prepares reports indicating productivity levels, production goals,
    and variances. Organizes and disperses production schedules and paperwork to management as needed. Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs. Performs backup duties for joist scheduling. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, coworkers, clients and supervisors. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Regular and reliable attendance.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School diploma or equivalent. 6 - 12 months experience in inventory control. Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Strong PC skills to include proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Experience with inventory, shipping, receiving, and production software, D365 preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Frequent communication with others to exchange information. Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Occasional adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions. Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Constant use of computer for prolonged periods. Constantly thinking and processing information. Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    General office environment. May require occasional exposure to production areas with airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold. Personal protection equipment is required when entering a manufacturing plant.

    We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team in our Washington, MO location!

    New employees have the potential to earn $60K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 50-hour work week. This includes the base rate, overtime, retention and production bonuses.

    2nd Shift 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM + OT including some weekends

    PRODUCTION

    Sets up and operates various machines to cut, stamp, bend, punch or otherwise form steel component parts which are used to fabricate finished products such as steel joists, bridging, girders and other structural steel pieces. May count out and package bolts for shipment and maintain related records. Place and tack weld steel component parts to fabricate finished products including steel joists and girders on a fast-paced assembly line. Must be able to learn to tack weld. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be willing to start and train on 1st shift (6AM-2:30PM) + OT including some weekends

    Requirements

    Must be able to read, understand and use shop paperwork and drawings to properly setup machines to produce required parts. Must use various measuring devices such as tape measure, micrometer, calipers, etc. May operate overhead cranes or use other equipment to move raw material and/or finished goods to and from machine. May be required to assemble component pieces by welding. Feeds raw material into and removes finished product from machine. Trips machine via hand or foot control.

    Physical Requirements

    The ability to stand continuously and walk for an entire shift. The ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, hold, push/pull, carry, flip and maneuver tools and raw material/product of various length and weight. Frequently reaching and holding arms and weight overhead. May require crouching, bending twisting, stooping, and squatting Climb or balance frequently. Capable of lifting 60lbs or more repeatedly throughout the day. Close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment

    Open shop environment may be exposed to cold and hot workspaces. Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and welding flash. Noise in the work environment is generally very loud.

    PPE Required
    The following PPE will be required to be worn at all times:

    Hard hat Earplugs Safety glasses Gloves Steel-toed boots Metatarsal guards

    Additional PPE may be required as needed

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Collaborate and build strong relationships with customers, general contractors, developers, architects and structural engineers to identify and implement cost-effective solutions using CSC products. This will include budgetary design, value engineering, and winning projects based on showcasing a high technical competency around design with CSC products in a manner that is consistent with our corporate mission, values and departmental objectives.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop strong relationships with customers and other relevant stakeholders including the specifiers of joist and deck products Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads through networking, cold calling, trade shows, etc. Present and promote lunch and learn type presentations to potential CSC customers or specifying stakeholders Prepare cost estimates and negotiate projects to meet departmental objectives Review contract documents to determine material and labor requirements and prepare takeoff for pricing Input takeoff into CSC Design and Pricing software to determine accurate project costing Generate a scope of work along with all exclusions, clarifications, and conditions listing all bid documents utilized in preparation of estimate Present value engineering opportunities to offer savings for both the customer and CSC Provide budgetary designs and pricing for CSC products based on conceptual information Analyze customer needs and identify areas where the company can offer unique value propositions. Collaborate with project teams to ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded. Answer questions from stakeholders regarding the technical nature and feasibility of CSC products Monitor activities and pricing levels of competitors by soliciting feedback from customers Work closely with internal teams including project managers, estimators, and engineers to ensure the successful execution of contracts Provide feedback and insights on customer preferences, competitors, and market conditions to help refine service offerings and sales approaches.
