    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Driver/Forklift/Packaging Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced battery manufacturing environment. This multi-skilled position is critical to ensuring the efficient movement of materials between our warehouses and supporting our packaging operations. The ideal candidate will possess a valid chauffeur's license or CDL, demonstrated proficiency in operating a forklift, and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
    Key Responsibilities
    •Inter-Warehouse Transportation: Safely and efficiently operate a Ford truck to transport materials, components, and finished goods between designated warehouses.•Forklift Operation: Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck) to load, unload, stack, and move materials within the warehouses and production areas.•Material Handling: Accurately receive, store, and dispatch materials, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.•Packaging Support: Provide support to the packaging department as needed, including but not limited to, preparing products for shipment, labeling, and assisting with general production tasks.•Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-operation checks and basic maintenance on vehicles and forklifts, reporting any defects or malfunctions promptly.•Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and traffic regulations, both on and off company premises.•Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports related to transportation, material movement, and daily activities.•Team Collaboration: Work effectively with logistics, production, and packaging teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
    Qualifications
    Required
    •Chauffeur's License or CDL: Must possess a valid and current chauffeur's license or CDL with a clean driving record.•Forklift Certification: Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.•Driving Experience: Demonstrated experience driving commercial vehicles, specifically Ford trucks, in a professional capacity.•Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.•Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in material handling, documentation, and adherence to safety protocols.•Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.•Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments, including supporting the packaging department as required.
    Note:This position will initially be on a contract basis, then considered for full time at company's discretion
    Work Environment
    This role operates in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
