RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages resources of plant and equipment toward the most efficient production of baked goods from raw materials to finished goods. Manages and oversees the Production Planner in planning and scheduling of production work in order to meet customer orders and customer pull for shipping. Directs the flow of information from customer orders to shop floor production and packaging work orders.
Oversees and assesses staffing levels of all plant employees at a 3-shift operation to optimize overall manufacturing performance within budgetary constraints. Manages and oversees the Quality Assurance Manager, Sanitation and the QA department to ensure that the company complies with all food safety standards for GMPs, HACCP, HARPC, Food Defense, BRC and FSMA on a continual basis via inspection, reporting and re-inspection. Promotes a culture of the highest food safety standards by coaching, counseling and training plant management and supervision regarding the importance of compliance w/all of the above mentioned standards and how to meet those standards on a daily basis. Manages and oversees the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance department to ensure that the plant equipment is maintained in an efficient and cost effective manner in order to reduce downtime and increase uptime.Manages and oversees the Continuous Improvement and Process Manager to ensure that standardized work methods and QCP’s are being followed to improve quality while reducing costs and waste.
