    Summary : Handles larger accounts and distribution relationships with a nationwide focus. Your responsibilities include meeting sales quotas while providing competitive pricing for products and services and stellar customer service to your clients. Your duties as a national sales representative also involve analysis of sales and forecasting for future growth. Considerable travel is typical to meet with customers across the country to pitch new offerings. You work closely with team members, distributors, and others in the supply chain.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance departments and workers

    * Oversee the disassembly of machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs

    * Review the repair of broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment

    * Maintain the operating condition of industrial production & processing machinery & equipment

    * Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear

    * Review the reassembly of equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs

    * Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices

    * Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs

    * Review & update as needed the pm system to lubricate & adjust parts, equipment & machinery

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Plans, directs and coordinates the manufacture of all products in accordance with company standards. Utilizes methods of continuous improvement in managing the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished goods in order to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. Oversees and manages the development of programs and policies that help attain the goals of the company regarding product quality, food safety, maintenance and profitability. This individual is a member of the company’s Senior Management team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manages resources of plant and equipment toward the most efficient production of baked goods from raw materials to finished goods. Manages and oversees the Production Planner in planning and scheduling of production work in order to meet customer orders and customer pull for shipping. Directs the flow of information from customer orders to shop floor production and packaging work orders.

    Oversees and assesses staffing levels of all plant employees at a 3-shift operation to optimize overall manufacturing performance within budgetary constraints. Manages and oversees the Quality Assurance Manager, Sanitation and the QA department to ensure that the company complies with all food safety standards for GMPs, HACCP, HARPC, Food Defense, BRC and FSMA on a continual basis via inspection, reporting and re-inspection. Promotes a culture of the highest food safety standards by coaching, counseling and training plant management and supervision regarding the importance of compliance w/all of the above mentioned standards and how to meet those standards on a daily basis. Manages and oversees the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance department to ensure that the plant equipment is maintained in an efficient and cost effective manner in order to reduce downtime and increase uptime.Manages and oversees the Continuous Improvement and Process Manager to ensure that standardized work methods and QCP’s are being followed to improve quality while reducing costs and waste. Create and manage Plant KPI’s, OEE measurements and waste reduction plans so that all plant employees are engaged in producing quality product in the most efficient manner.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Ensure full compliance with all Company policies and standards related to food safety, work safety, quality and workplace conduct.Utilize methods of continuous improvement to establish and monitor waste reduction plan to maximize production output and line efficiencies.Work w/President, CFO, VP Sales and Department managers to establish annual operating budgets.Engage in Project Management as requested by President.

    REQUIREMENTS
    Education Requirements

    Must have a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business administration or similar.

    Process Industry Requirements

    Thorough understanding of commercial high speed manufacturing equipment and processes.Extensive knowledge in food safety with experience in SQF, BRC or other GFSI certification audits and codes.Extensive knowledge and experience in either Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
