    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Managing the day-to-day operations of commercial metal stud, drywall, and acoustical ceiling crewsInterpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft personsReview, create, submit quality estimates with detailed proposalsPrepare high level quantity and manpower take-offsImplement the pre-construction quality planFacilitates project meetingsIdentify, track, price and manage all aspects of time and material ticketsObtain and maintain all necessary construction permitsDevelop and maintain: Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Non-Conformance ReportManage, create, and distribute contract documentsEstablish handling procedures for electronic documents, including Request for Information (RFI) and correspondenceIncorporate all processes and procedures that support the project closeout phaseManage all aspects of testing and inspection processes for the construction quality management programCoordinate the packaging, manage, track, review and processing of submittalsSet up submittal register in accordance with project specificationsObtain the customer/architect’s approval for field changesExpedite submittals to ensure material deliveries are in sync with the project scheduleCommunicate details and requirements for the submittal process to subcontractors and suppliers,Coordinate details of various subcontractors, including verifying insurance, preparing paperwork, and requesting final payment from FinanceDevelop and distribute RFIs and Change OrdersDefine and implement procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-build construction documentsIncorporate subcontractor as-built documentation in the procedures for revising or updating contract documentsDetermine alternative work methods as neededCoordinate safety and compliance for all team memberMaintain schedule of timelines and follow through until completionMust maintain an extremely professional working relationship with clients, subcontractors, and peersOther duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from College or University in a technical area of study or equivalent experienceMinimum 3+ years of related experience and/or training in Project ManagementMinimum 3 years experience in Commercial Drywall IndustryExperience overseeing drywall, drywall installation, interior finishes, metal framing, and acoustical ceiling in commercial buildingsManage owner and a/e relationshipsDemonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard to moderately complex documents affecting projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys and drawingsComputer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level; knowledge of Viewpoint is a plusKnowledge of construction processes and terminologyAbility to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documentsRequires advanced analytical and quantitative skillsAbility to read and understand blueprintsDetail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesStrong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsProven positive and professional attitude and customer service skillsExcellent communication skills; both internal and externalAbility to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

    Calhoun Construction Services is a growing Kentucky-based construction firm that offers a comprehensive range of services, including pre-construction, construction management, design-build, facility maintenance, renewable energy, and general contracting. We also provide self-perform capabilities in metal stud framing & drywall, concrete, and flooring, allowing for greater control and quality assurance on projects.

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Superintendent to join our collaborative team.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Manage the day-to-day operations of the project site to ensure that all subcontractors, suppliers, and employees are adhering to the project scheduleMust demonstrate understanding of site logistics, site safety and construction operationsAssures onsite subcontractors conformance to company policy and reporting requirementsDevelop a project execution plan and site logistics plan for distribution to the project teamAssists the Project Executive and PM in planning and executionSupervise all Onsite Construction Activity.Understand Product Specification and Scope of Work Requirements.Coordinate review and approval of craft worker time cardsMonitor and address issues within weekly labor reportsReview and approve craft worker certifications and trainings for specialty craft rolesParticipate in site orientation training, first hour orientation, and site safety meetingParticipate in hire and dismissal process of craft workersDemonstrate the ability to achieve onsite dispute resolutionManage project labor and ensure outstanding project safety, subcontractor performance, on-time scheduling, specification conformance and quality controlProvide guidance on activities including set-up, work in-place, and project closeout/demobilizationCreate, support, and administrate the project schedule with the Project Manager.Coordinate with equipment facility and outside equipment providers for project equipment; i.e. cranes, trailers, trucks, etc.Review and verify quantity takeoffs and materials management process during the buyout process for specific scopes of workOther duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    5+ years of onsite experience and knowledge of commercial construction as a superintendentAdvanced skills in organizing construction sites and field personnelMicrosoft Office, project and pertinent web application skillsExcellent leadership and communication skills (Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required)Demonstrated skills in organizing and evaluating informationMust possess personal integrity and a superior reputationCurrent Driver’s License
