We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to become a part of our team! Candidate will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a private primary care practice with locations in East and South Atlanta.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnessesPrescribe all necessary medications and treatmentsPerform comprehensive physical examinations of patientsDevelop and implement patient management policies and proceduresFacilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilitiesCommunicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient careDaily completion of charting of medical encounterQualifications:
Board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantAbility to build rapport with patientsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility with patient schedulesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Eclinicalworks a plusStrong clinical and organizational skills Read LessPhysician needed for established Internal Medicine practice in South Atlanta. Responsibilities include:
Discuss medical history with patient to acquire knowledge of healthcare practices.
Examine and diagnose patients, create a treatment plan, and perform minor procedures.
Delegate tasks to nurses and staff.
Conduct routine and sports physicals.
Respond to patient questions and health concerns.
Prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes.
Accurately document patient encounters timely and submit compliant billing.
Collect specimens, refer to laboratory, and assess medical results.
Administer topical, oral, intravenous, or intramuscular medications.
Communicate pertinent medical information to appropriate specialists as needed
Physician Qualifications and Skills
Working knowledge of common diseases and disorders.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate difficult conversations professionally.
Patience, exceptional bedside manner, and the ability to empathize with the patient.
Ongoing professional development
Education & Experience Requirements
Medical degree from an accredited program required
Valid Georgia medical license and DEA Certificate
Board Certification or Board Eligible
Experience with a wide range of medical conditions
Experienced Certified Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner needed for an expanding Internal Medicine / Family Practice in South Atlanta. Must have previous private practice experience. Must have previous EHR experience, preferably eclinicalworks. Full-time (4.5 days per week) or part-time (3 days a week) position available. Alternating Saturday mornings required.
