Duties
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal assistive devicesMonitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliancePrepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal delivery or feeding as necessaryAdminister medications following prescribed care plans and document medication administration accuratelySupport residents with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies and engaging them in meaningful activitiesMaintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocolsDocument patient observations, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of careProvide emotional support and companionship to promote social interaction and mental well-beingAssist with transportation to medical appointments or community outings when requiredUse proper techniques for heavy lifting and patient transfers to ensure safety for both residents and staffQualifications
Previous experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirableKnowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic nursing skillsCertification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or dementia/cognitive impairment care are a plusExperience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory-related conditions is preferredAbility to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as neededStrong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsCompassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents’ quality of lifeFlexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as neededJoin us in making a positive impact through dedicated caregiving!
