    This is steady, hands-on work in a true food production environment operating equipment, packaging product, and helping maintain a smooth, efficient process that supports syrup producers across Vermont, Maine, New York, and Canada.


    What Youll Be Doing


    Operate, clean, and maintain food production or packaging equipmentPerform repetitive production tasks with consistency and attention to detailTrack production using basic computer/data entry skillsIdentify and report inconsistencies in materials, product flow, or equipmentSupport barrel-washing and syrup handling operationsCollaborate with your team to keep lines running safely and smoothlyCross-train to grow your skills and work in different areas of the facility

    At Butternut Mountain Farm, a second-generation, family-owned company, we proudly package and ship pure maple syrup year-round not just during sugaring season. As one of the largest packers of pure maple syrup in the U.S., were looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our manufacturing and packaging team in Morrisville, Vermont.

    This is steady, hands-on work in a true food production environment operating equipment, packaging product, and helping maintain a smooth, efficient process that supports syrup producers across Vermont, Maine, New York, and Canada.


    What Youll Be Doing


    Operate, clean, and maintain food production or packaging equipmentPerform repetitive production tasks with consistency and attention to detailTrack production using basic computer/data entry skillsIdentify and report inconsistencies in materials, product flow, or equipmentSupport barrel-washing and syrup handling operationsCollaborate with your team to keep lines running safely and smoothlyCross-train to grow your skills and work in different areas of the facility

    We support cross-training so team members can grow their skills and work in areas where they thrive. Some days are the samebut the work always matters. And yes, if you ever dreamed of tasting maple syrup all day, weve even had roles like that!



    Requirements:

    Who Were Looking For

    Reliable, punctual, and ready to contribute every dayPrior experience in manufacturing, production, food processing, or packaging is a plusComfortable working with machinery and following safety/quality proceduresAttention to detail and willingness to improve processesAble to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 10-hour shiftsTeam-oriented and willing to cross-train


    Schedule

    Schedule and FlexibilityFirst Shift: Monday Thursday, 5:00 AM 3:00 PMEnjoy early afternoons and three-day weekends (FridaySunday)Second Shift: Monday Thursday, 3:00 PM 1:00 AMNot currently hiring for second shift, but let us know if you're interested for future openings)


    Additional Notes:

    Depending on your role, occasional overtime or early arrivals may be required.We do our best to offer overtime on a voluntary basis, but there may be times when mandatory overtime is necessaryparticularly on Fridays.We require a background check for all new hires.
