    Job DescriptionJob Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support our production, engineering, and quality teams. This role is responsible for performing inspections and ensuring products meet established quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate has strong inspection skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing operations, and the ability to maintain accurate quality documentation, including procedures and work instructions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Process & Production Documentation

    Write procedures and work instructions using standardized company formats.Communicate quality issues and findings to production, engineering, and management.Support production efforts related to continuous improvement initiatives.Verify proper setup of machines through thorough first-piece inspection.Assist in training operators on inspection techniques, measurement methods, or quality requirements.

    Inspection & Quality Verification

    Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, CMM, Faro Arm etc.Inspect components per drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.Document inspection results accurately in logs, travelers, or digital systems.Identify, segregate, and document nonconforming material through NCRs.Support First Article Inspections (FAI) as needed.

    Calibration & Equipment Care

    Verify all measuring tools are calibrated and in good working condition before use.Report damaged or out-of-tolerance gages for replacement or recalibration.Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready inspection areas.

     

     

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environment.Proficient with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, height gages, etc.).Strong understanding of technical drawings.Ability to write clear, accurate reports.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    Responsibilities

    Operate forging equipment including hammers, mechanical presses, hydraulic presses, and furnaces.Heat steel billets to proper forging temperatures and maintain awareness of furnace conditions.Assist with die setup, tool changes, and preparing materials for each production run.Use tongs, tools, and proper PPE to handle hot steel safelyPerform in-process inspections to check shape, dimensions, and quality of forged partsRemove scale and perform basic trimming or shearing operations as neededMaintain forging equipment through basic cleaning and lubrication, report mechanical issues promptly.

    Requirements
