Multiple Apartment Communities | Portland, OR
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Full-Time Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance and repairs across multiple apartment communities (100+ doors) throughout Portland. This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, enjoys problem-solving in the field, and takes pride in keeping properties safe and well maintained.
This is an active position that includes on-call and after-hours responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repairs in occupied units and vacant apartmentsComplete unit turnovers, including punch lists and basic repairsRespond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional mannerPerform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairsPatch drywall, paint, replace fixtures, and perform minor flooring repairsTroubleshoot appliances and coordinate repairs or replacementsMaintain common areas, grounds, and building systemsConduct regular property walks to identify maintenance or safety issuesRespond to after-hours and emergency maintenance callsCoordinate and communicate with Property manager, vendors and contractors as neededSafely use ladders and work at heights for tasks such as lighting, gutters, exterior repairs, and inspectionsFollow all safety procedures and company policiesQualifications
Previous maintenance experience in property management or apartment maintenance preferredWorking knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairsAbility to work independently or ina team enviromentReliable personal transportation and valid driver’s licenseAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical laborDependable, punctual, and detail-orientedHelpful Skills
