    What you'll do

    Ensure adherence to individual service plans and administer prescribed treatments.Conduct meaningful rounds with residents and record visits on charts.Administer injections, perform in-house testing procedures, and record vital signs.Supervise and assign duties to nurse aides, monitor their work, and assist in carrying out the activities program.Communicate with physicians and follow through with orders.     What you'll bring:

    High School diploma or GED.Current Licensed Vocational Nurse License.Current CPR Certification.Minimum one-year related experience preferred, or appropriate formal education or Buckner training.Working knowledge of basic health care practices and procedures, including infection control.Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English.A friendly attitude and a servant's heart.

    PRN Shift Requirements:

    Our PRN policy states PRN/Occasional employees must work a minimum of 2 shifts within a 60-day period and be in compliance with training and meetings to remain employed in a PRN/Occasional status.

    What You'll Do
    As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:

    Insure that the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing procedures; take and record vital signs.Make meaningful rounds of all residents, utilizing health care plans; make rounds with physicians and accurately and timely record visits on charts.Assist in maintaining current health care plans according to a schedule rotation and documenting acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.Supervise aides in the performance of their duties by monitoring their work; assign aides to residents, specifying break times and special duties to be completed.Supervise (or personally handle) the preparation and administration of prescribed medications accurately.Order all new medications and refills; give initial dose of all new medications and chart it timely and accurately.Direct charting on his/her shift and makes detailed evaluation of all resident charting in accordance with facility policy, regulatory guidelines and resident status.Recognize significant changes in the condition of the resident and takes necessary action as directed by Director of Nursing.Supervise serving of prescribed diets and fluid intake; report persistent unresolved problems to the physician and/or the Director of Nursing or appropriate discipline.Professionally communicate with resident families and respond to questions or concerns.Accurately and timely complete focused assessments and appropriate discharge documentation.Intervene in resident disputes or disruptive behavior, if necessary, to maintain proper facility harmony and resident safety.Accurately and timely complete documentation.Work successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers.

    What You'll Bring to the Team
    To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:

    Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing license. Must complete and/or meet training, certification required by Buckner and the State of Texas.

    We are seeking a LVN to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a LVN, you will play an important role in all phases of nursing care that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards.     What you'll do:

    Insure that the individual service plan in followed; administers or supervises treatments prescribed by physician.Make meaningful rounds of all residents, utilizing service plans; make rounds with physicians and records visits on charts.Administer all intramuscular, sub-cutaneous injections; perform all in-house testing procedures; take and record vital signs.Document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.Supervise aides in the performance of their duties by monitoring their work; assign aides to residents – specifying break times and special duties to be completed, including activities.Work with Activity Director, DON, and Nurse Aides in carrying out the activities program.Meet with DON as needed and participate in staff meetings to keep staff performing at optimum level.Receive or place calls to physicians and follow through with physician's orders.

    What you'll bring:

    High School diploma or GED plus one to two years of college or vocational schoolRequires graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Must hold current Texas licensure as licensed vocational nurseRequires ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move objects and/or people.Requires bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing over 75% of shift.
