    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator with strong experience in oil & gas pipeline and facility construction. The ideal candidate is proficient in setting up, managing, and utilizing HCSS (Heavy Construction Systems Specialists) software for cost estimating, bid preparation, and project analysis. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of developing accurate, competitive estimates for complex projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare detailed cost estimates for oil & gas pipeline and facility projects, including gathering and analyzing project dataUtilize HCSS (HeavyBid and related modules) to build, manage, and maintain estimatesSet up HCSS databases, cost codes, crews, and production ratesAnalyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimatesSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure estimate accuracyIdentify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options during the bidding processMaintain historical cost data and continuously improve estimating accuracyAssist in bid submissions and participate in bid reviews and presentationsQualifications

    5+ years of estimating experience in oil & gas pipeline and/or facility constructionStrong hands-on experience with HCSS software (HeavyBid required; HeavyJob a plus)Proven experience setting up and managing HCSS estimating databasesSolid understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment related to pipeline and facility workAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contractsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard business toolsPreferred Qualifications
