    5. Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques.

    6. The ability to communicate effectively in person and on the telephone with other staff, the public, the patients and the medical staff of Broward Community Family.

    CLASSIFICATION: Exempt


    SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and performing advanced accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, grant accounting support, and month-end and year-end closing activities for the organization. This position ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and supports compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), HRSA requirements, federal grant regulations, and organizational financial policies. The Accounting Manager serves as a technical accounting resource and works closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), finance staff, auditors, program leadership, and external agencies to support the organization’s financial operations and sustainability.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required.Healthcare, nonprofit, FQHC, or grant-funded organization experience strongly preferred.Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, grants accounting, and audit support required.
