The Assistant Director must stay abreast of developments in national and local bar-related testing and develop and maintain substantial knowledge about academic support and bar preparation programs. The Assistant Director will also work under the supervision of the Director of Bar Preparation to help advise the faculty and administration on bar-related matters, maintain data, and prepare periodic reports for administrators and the Dean as needed.
Most notably, the Assistant Director of Bar Preparation must possess a keen understanding of the social, psychological, and financial challenges that confront college-age and professional students, and work with other members of the Academic and Student Success team to devise thoughtful strategies for addressing them. This includes providing support and advice to those seeking disability-related accommodations in the classroom and on the bar exam (and related standardized exams such as the MPRE).
