Rewinder Essential Job Functions:
· Operate Master Roll lift safely
· Rewinds product according to customer specifications and internal procedures.
· Visually inspects labels for defects.
· Sets up multiple slitter units.
· Slits down jobs.
· Maintains inventory of rewind material and replenishes as needed.
· Sets up and runs the Label Vision System.
· Splices rolls together following customer's specifications.
· Maintains the Rewind equipment using the PM schedules.
· Follows procedures to setup and operate the back numbering equipment.
· Operates the table top rewind equipment when needed.
· Assists in training individuals and other team members as assigned.
· Complies with established safety procedures and policies.
· Works with other departments and maintenance personnel on projects and/or validations.
· Focuses on Continuous Improvement, Quality, Improved Cycle Times, Safety, Cost Reductions, and Customer Satisfaction.
· Complies with company policies, procedures, and core processes.
· Performs other job duties as assigned.

To perform the Production Supervisor job successfully, an individual must demonstrate competencies in printing press operations and troubleshooting as well as understand upstream & downstream operations. Able to help troubleshoot equipment and provide feedback to department supervisor/Manager and maintenance personnel. Must take initiative, be resourceful, and be willing to accept responsibility and accountability.
Production Supervisor Essential Functions
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all of production processes.
· Responsible for daily printing press production from printing up to packaging.
· Empower operational staff to present ideas and create improvements and solutions.
· Assess and identify operational improvement opportunities.
· Completes their Leader Standard Work (LSW) daily.
· Audits and documents implementation of standardized work and other process improvements.
· Works cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and foster a Lean Culture
· Develop an understanding of lean manufacturing techniques to implement process improvements and optimal use of manufacturing resources.
· Reviews Key Performance Indicators (Daily, Weekly and Monthly) to ensure area is on track to meet overall departmental objectives. Require metrics be completed with notes explaining downtime and reasons if throughput goals are not achieved.
· Leverage 5S principles to develop and maintain operational standards (A place for everything and everything in its place)
· Facilitate and lead problem solving events.
· Assist in investigating root cause analysis & corrective actions for department as needed.
· Understands and supports all policies, procedures, instructions, rules, and regulations associated with Brook & Whittle and our facility.
· Will work directly with all operators to ensure jobs are ran to customer’s critical to quality requirements.
· Represent operations during Project Review Meetings
· Will Lead with Safety, by identifying hazards and acting to mitigate injury risk at all times.
· Reports machine & equipment breakdown to manager & maintenance personnel
· Must cover for Supervisor/Manager while on vacation or time off.
· Consults with department manager and Quality Assurance of any quality related defects
· Responsible for reporting production to cross functional team through daily shift report.
· Communicate Personnel issues to HR and/or manager as needed.
· Ensures all elements needed for upcoming jobs are present and accounted for to minimize downtime.
· Minimize setup times through improved processes and staff utilization. Increase run speeds. Work closely with and support staff through both initiatives.
· Works with Quality department and other Managers to ensure proper employee training is provided.
· Works in cross-functional teams to make sure processes are robust enough to meet customer requirements.
Skills
- Printing background required
· The ability to be discreet with company confidential information, report errors, incidents, and problems to appropriate personnel.
· Interpersonal skills to allow effective interaction with operators, cross-functional departments, and leadership.
· Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office, (Proficient in Word and Excel) and an understanding of the current data collection system.

We are looking for a Production Graphic Artist to join our Graphics team. The primary responsibility of this position is to adjust and convert customer submitted artwork in a press compatible format while ensuring that all changes are made as requested and files are prepared to meet production standards.

We are currently seeking a full-time, Pre-Press Graphic Specialist to join our fast-growing, digitally printed labels and packaging facility in Hamilton, OH. The position will report directly to the Pre-Press Department Manager.
The Pre-Press Graphic Specialist will be responsible for pre-flighting customer-supplied artwork, preparing and proofing 1-up artwork for digital print, troubleshooting common file and color related issues, and ensuring color matches customer standards.
Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, forward-thinking, willing to challenge the status quo, and demonstrate a positive attitude.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
