    Shipping clerk inspects, prepares and packs customers' orders. Ensuring final quality check, ensures amounts are correct and follows specific shipping instructions.



    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Read and understand job jacket to ensure you have the required production steps have been completed and product matches job jacket requirements.Will check packing instructions and quantity to make sure order ships per customer specifications, quantity ordered, and correct shipping carrier.Enter shipment information in shipping system to produce packing slip and customer information.Affix packing slip and all labels required by customer. Get supervisor sign off when needed.Updates shipping information on the job jacket.Processes shipment through automated shipping system to make sure correct carrier is selected and shipping charges are applied. At end of the shift clerk cleans area, equipment, and informs supervisor of any problems that caused issues during the day. Daily and timely attendance required to be successful.Performs other job duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    Must be able to lift / push/ pull up to 45 lbs unassisted (or more occasionally).Must be able to stand for the majority of shift – 2 hour increments.Short distance walking required with rolls to be placed on shipping table.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.Must be able to differentiate between color variance.Ability to work well with others.Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.

Check ink levels and add ink as needed to reach proper levels and run ink test program. Select art for job and RIP over to press. Run job to perform first piece inspection. If required by gang, makes sure that job jacket is signed off and Supervisor check is conducted before running job. Use the first piece to check quality of print during run and complete job. Place the first piece in the jacket to be used as a guide by future work processes. When job is complete scan the job to the next work center and move job to completed hold area. At end of shift operator cleans area and informs supervisor of any mechanical, material or ink problems that caused issues during the day. Requirements:
